Our company stopped paying our insurance in Dec 08 so we don't even have COBRA as a option ... Much to our surprise.

That's OK ....all good things come to those who wait.

I here that the Hartmann are being investigated for embezzlement. I hear that the US labor broad is there in Galena looking at the company records... I wonder if they will find anything

When my company went under, the FBI was investigating. I was called for a deposition. It was to be only an hour and ended up over 3 hours. I knew where alot of the equipment was.

They questioned whether I had any of their stuff at home. I said T shirts and they could have them.

Geez Mid States...lets blame all your troubles on the bank. How about taking some of your own responsibility!! You owe all of us AND you owe the bank too! Dont even try to put the blame on the bank. If they got some money out of you..good for them! Now we want our money!

MidStates acts like they are so concerned...The bank benefited from our hard work!!! WHAT AN INSULT!!! What about all the millioins the low lifes collected for insurance?? WAS THAT THE BANKS FAULT? We all worked for that money too!! Not a word ever from MID-States (Hatmanns) Not one single word on all that money!!
Where is my insurance money? Tell you what MID-STATES..since you care so much about our two weeks pay, tell the bank you will just pay us out of the millions of insurance premiums you collected from us!! I don't know much at this point on the embezzlement other then it could take a little while for them to go through all the paperwork. I was told the first thing was the pension... go figure. I hear they will go through the insurance, 401 K as well as the Metlife that was not paid either.

I was told by someone who attend the court hearing yesterday that a trustee was pointed by the courts, this trustee is now in place in the Galena office as of today. The courts allowed the Hartmanns to change from chapter 11 to 7 which does not look good for us to get our money.

I heard that Brad, Tim Hartmann as well as two other employees have been out doing inventory on the terminals. I heard the first order of business for the trustee yesterday was at 4:00 PM he had the pleasure of FIRING THE HARTMANN from the company as well as the other 2 people that have been working. BUT the question is will the trustee hire them back because they are the only ones who knows where all the equipment is sitting or will the trustee try to figure it out on his own. Who knows ...

You wonder why this forum gets quiet? Well if the rest of you get half as mad about this as I do, and I am sure you do, you can understand why?

Instead of being investigated for embesselment by the DOL, I would much rather hear for Fraud and Theft by the FBI. I am just waiting to see how this shakes out. Law inforcement will not tell us if or what they are doing. We just have to be patient, which in this case is asking allot!!

I can understand having rough times in business and trying to make ends meet, but never will I understand, stealing from your employees to do it. Kind of like giving a drowning man a glass of water. Had they followed the rules and laws none of this would be happening.

You know what..I know better than the way I have been behaving on here....I wish the hartmanns nothing but the best. May they receive a just reward accordingly to the integrity of their hearts.

I know what you mean Bill...when the hubby and I talk about it we get just as mad. Like what can we do. They are hiding behind the skirts of the company like a couple of little boys hiding in their momma's skirt peeking around it cause they are scared. I do hope that they find out more and more by going thru the company records. I bet there is a real story to be told with that! A lot of these employees of Mid States did a fair days work for their wages. And what has happened to all of you people is so wrong. But your right what can be done....not much. I dont know if anyone will get a dime...but it sure would be nice if that did happen. I know they say good things come to those who wait..but its the waiting that is so hard for everyone involved. When guys like my husband have started their 401k since Mid States started it and then we have to take money out of it to help out with bills etc, thats just not right. This was suppose to be for retirement....So much for those golden years....He was only 2 years away from being able to retire and leave there..now at almost 60 he says "who is going to hire me"? And being in Michigan..everyone here is looking for a job....including me...I guess never in my life did I think we would both be sitting here unemployed..and I think a lot of households are like ours. Its tough here for us..but not has bad as others have it. We will be ok...I just pray for those who are having all of the financial troubles and possible losing their homes and have to go through the bankruptcy process. Its just not fair. So back to school I go...and hopefully we can make it to 62 for pension (if there is one!) and social security...I just hope that this forum is quiet because a lot of people have found new jobs and have moved on....So when you all think about what happened to all of you and it makes you so angry..know that there are others out here to that are JUST A MAD!!!

I never to threaten to punch any female employee or male employee. If I had I am certain I would have been arrested and more than likely sued. I would like to know what basis you have for this cowardly accusation ?
