As for missing Mr. Rick Wells........well I can't say I do or I don't. I will say that many people had issues with him. But in all fairness he was and still is a great salesman.

How's he missing? Did he ride off into the sunset and leave you guys?

Announcement of closing

March 27, 2009



After 20 years of providing regional LTL and TL services throughout the 11 Midwestern States, Mid-States Express, Inc. has had to close, the last day of normal business was Friday March 27, 2009. The Hartmann family has been in the trucking business since 1948, it is with great regret that we are making this annoucement. We are greatful for the opportunity we have had to serve the shipping public and we are greatful for the dedicated service of our employees, many of whom have gone well beyond the call of duty. We are doing everything possible to insure the delivery of all shipments within our possession. We wish everyone the best.

It simply amazes me how many people have absolutely no clue what the hell they are talkng about!!! I about puked when I heard your bleeding hearts for the Hartmanns!!!! What you think there going to read your comments on this site or something?? Let me tell you this, If the Hartmanns give #### one about any of you why wasnt your insurance PAID!!! Why were families filing bankruptcy because of medical bills???Why were employees continuely receiving collection calls???Why were clinics refusing to see an/or except Mid-States insurance period?? Why did they stiff you on your PAY that you worked hard for?????? I'm no different than some of you I gave my heart and soul to this company!!! I wanted this company to be my final employer!!!! Some of you have no idea at all !!! The Hartmanns were always about themself and would tell you anything that you wanted to hear (LYES)!!! Mis-management you Dam right!!!!! The Hartmanns knew what was going on and they were confronted about it and yet nothing was ever done!!!! It starts from Top management officails down the tree!!! The Hartmanns owned the Dam company it was there responsibility as owners to take care of business in a perfessional and responsible manner!!!In my eyes they had a responsiblity to 800 employess!! There insurance debt according to the Attorneys office I spoke to was $6million$$ plus!!! Hello,They were taking your dam insurance premiums yet they werent paying anything!!!How the hell do you think it got that HIGH!!! As far as managers and employees stealing and those who knew this was going on and did nothing you deserve what you get!!!!! I always said this company was out numbered by so many Dam" I dont give a dam employees" that the good employees had NO chance!!!!!As far as Chris Johnson DO NOT defend a walking peice of ####!!! Bottom line he was a Joe Baker Disciple!! Anyone and I mean anyone that even remotely trys to defend these two individuals tells me your heads are not on straight!! I was once told by Terry Hartmann himself the only reason he kept Joe around is because he made him MONEY!!!!! Do I sound PISSED OFF ?? You dam right!!! Dont try to defend the owners of this company!!! They had every opportunity as OWNERS to fix there problems and failed to do so!!!! Remember this do YOU think there hurting for money right now??? Do you think there worried about there next mortgage payment?? There next car payment?? Putting food on the table?? paying the electric bill,phone bill,medical bills ???? They have property in Florida,Illinios and Wisconsin!!!! DO YOU think there hurting while you and your family are sick to your stomuch wondering what next???? My only hope is " They reap what They sew" Oh by the way while some of you are happy for the Hartmanns think about your fellow employees who are now stuck paying all there medical bills out of pocket!!! And for those tree huggers that always paid out of there own pocket,which a former manager I once knew was preachy about that and it pissed his employess off because that was why the paid premiums and expected to have there medical bills paid!!!!

i can tell you right now jodi242 is one of the hartmans or chris johnson. know how i can tell? i've heard those lies before. stealing tires? what tires? there where NEVER tires at lasalle to be stolen. the hartmans and johnson should rot in hell. no one will EVER hire them other than a mcjob. they are worthless human beings that deserve to be tossed to the curb like the peices of trash they are........

They know better than to break the laws. Don't ignore that. There is NO EXCUSE for them to run things so poorly when there are tons of even smaller companies that are weathering the economy and still doing the right thing. It is about ethics and morals and the Hartmanns have lost all that and the business too....
