The people leading the pack call the shots. That makes them responsible for the whole operation. IF the knew that there was theft and irresponsible behavior going on then they should have put a stop to it. You can defend those responsible BUT dont expect to find any support. Get your head out of the sand.

I find it very interesting that anyone feels that way about the Kansas employees. But, knowing almost ALL of the employees out of the Kansas terminal VERY well, I can honestly say that their conciences were cleaner than the Hartmann's by far. Has there been theft at this terminal? Yes there was, and in each case it was appropriately dealt with by calling the police and doing everything by the book. Restitution was made to the customers whose freight was involved. The criminals involved are currently doing time. However when the theft was reported to the Hartmanns, while the father was angry at the theft and approved the way it was handled, the sons were indifferent at best and actually ANGRY that restitution was made. On only 2 occasions was an employee involved and that person was IMMEDIATELY terminated and prosecuted as well. So yes, the Kansas' employees conciences are MUCH cleaner than the Hartmann's at least the Hartmann's sons anyway. As for Chris Johnson, stories of his behavior are ALL over and I'll tell you what, his treatment of women would NEVER have been tolerated here.

Am I angry? Yes I am, because aspersions were cast on a fine group of people who only tried to do their best for a company that screwed them over.

You know who I am then? Susan at Werner. I happened to call him on his cell the day they shut down and talked to him a few times since. I've left two messages, he's not called me back so I guess he doesn't need anything.
You might try going thru a mediator since you don't have enough posts to do a private message.
As you can see I don't have enough to do, hence the many, many posts on here. LOL

My Thoughts Today

Ya know I never really thought about the insurance until today. If you really stop to think about it Mid-States had roughly 800 employees. Let say out of the 800 only 600 took the insurance and lets round it off to $100.00 aweek per employee that is $400.00 amonth per employee. Now multple that $400.00 amonth times 600 employees thats $240,000.00 amonth now multiple that by 12 months it comes out to $2,880,000.00.Now I'm thinking that is only the the employees portion where in this eqaution is the Hartmanns portion?????? Now if the Hartmanns were contributeing there protion into the insurance wouldnt the total for the year be $5,760,000.00??????????? Someone help me out here, am I wrong in the figures??? And, if I'm not wrong then that would go to say that every employee basically was self insured ???? wouldnt they??????? Just a thought
