Ok heres the deal,In 2013 Forward Air bought TQI... I worked here as a lease operator for a year. You are able to etch out a meager living as an owner operator, If you are a solo you will starve, Miles are thin 1600-2200 miles a week. They haul 90% pharmaceuticals, and the b.s. you have to put up with(security procedures) hauling them is not worth $1.03 a mile plus FSC.(Especially since their getting around $4.00/mile) They will tell you that you haul from plant to plant, WRONG!.They tell you you will get 2800 miles/week WRONG! There is a collosal waste of time in between loads. you will sit at McKesson for hours on end and have to fight for detention, because the payroll girl lost the post it note she wrote it on. The planner is married to her and he has the same system. And dont get me started on R. Ken Smith the Operations manager who treats drivers like garbage. He especially hate owner operators, because they are messing with his little kingdom. When you try to remedy issues they go unheard, You cannot go up the chain of command, because you do not know who is in charge. When you go to Forward Air to get help with issues you dont get any. They love to change policies without informing anyone. You pay $21.00/week for a QC that they dont even use.In the last month they have lost many many owner operators.I should have went to work at Burger King so I could make more money!!!!!!!!!!!!.Just a warning.....But you can find out for yourself, As far as Forward Air...I hear they are pretty decent, they need to fire everyone in the TQI Division and start over.FAF is recruiting company drivers hard for this division because they cant keep owner operators.
If you want to get rich stay away from TQI/Forward Air.........

But I do this because I like it. Besides, "rich" is a relative term. In my opinion, the man that doesn't need much and is happy with his life is the richest man in the world.TequilaSunrise, Underdog68, Lonesome and 8 others Thank this. -
In my opinion, the man that doesn't need much and is happy with his life Likely because he makes DECENT $ at whatever he does to make a living

Thanks for the insight ....im done messing around with dead end trucking companies ....putting my apps in with trustworthy companies like OLD DOMINION ,YELLOW,ROADWAY ...im tired of wasting time building trucking companies that get big and then turn right around and just #&_$=#" all over their driving force
