I have been driving for a lot of years and recently moved to AZ. I have never seen anything like this state in more than twenty five years of driving. My most recent job was otto logistics. A company that has no paid holiday for its employee's. I don't understand why anyone would work for such a place. I would rather flip Hamburgers then work work for a company that treats you like dirt..

Huh? Companies that have holiday pay in this industry are far and few between, and even as those places you would have to be on the road on that holiday to earn that pay.

I have never worked for a company with absolutely no paid holidays. If you are one of the unfortunate few that does, its time to find a new place to work, If you continue to accept the crap they dish out they will continue to serve it!! Time to join a union. They don't get away this crap if you people would use your heads and unite.

    bigdogpile Thanks this.

OTTO out of Mesa IS a dirt hauling company. Dump trucks, belly dumps, etc... It is not an OTR company.

They treat you like dirt and you haul their dirt ! Now that's funny. They also haul trash, right ?

I get paid for 7 holidays per year and I don't have to be on the road to get paid. If I choose to work on a holiday, I get the holiday pay plus whatever I drive that day. Granted the holiday pay is less than what I would make on an average day driving, it is still better than nothing.

They have a serious problem retaining drivers. Don't even consider these dirt bags if your looking for a place to work. If you do you had better speak Spanish!!

Schneider is the only Company I have worked for in over 20 years that has not paid me Holiday Pay. Otto here in salt lake city runs turnpike doubles, hauling trash. I don't remember who they were several years ago, but Otto came in and bought out the previous company and cut their pay by $3 an hour and cut their bennies. Another cheap company that expects it's drivers to "be honored" that they work there.

Of course they should "be honored" that they work there. Thanks to the new CVSA rules that's the only type of company that will hire them.
