Stay Away from Marten Trucking

    I worked for Marten and I got sick, I mean really sick so sick that I was in intensive care at the hospital out of state for 5 days. I finally got released and got home to be off another week with doctors approval. I kept in constant contact with Marten letting them know my progress and sending them the doctors info plus release time from doctors care. I was badgered to come back to work sooner than the doctors said was okay to do. I was back at work for 3 days and was fired because I was still weak and recovering. Marten knew this becuase I kept telling them and I have my paperwork to prove it up. 3 days back at job and I had a "small" incident and I mean really small. I had to u-turn and I ran on the grass at a facility, no one was killed, nothing but the grass. I was canned within the hour. I got the attached in the mail from the really intelligent and upstanding owner of Marten. How pety and small minded is this guy to send me a handwritten note!!! [see attachment] I'm already fired, I'm looking for another job so I guess he wanted to kick me when I'm down. STAY AWAY FROM MARTEN! They are ran by a really petty small minded man!

    U-turns are typically terminal events. When you say you had to U-turn, can you explain more in detail?

    However that note is awesomely professional.

    Two questions. Minus that first question.

    1. How much grass did you kill?

    2. Did you come back to work sooner than you were cleared, or did you stick to your guns?

    That letter looks like something you would write.No offense but I think the owner would have been more professional if he wrote it.I think if he wanted to send u a note it would have been typed with his signature.The uturn,you just don't make uturns.How would u like someone doing that to your yard?I also don't believe Marten wanted u to come back while u was on medical loa.

    Unless they had an underground sprinkler system that is now damaged and needs to be replaced.

    Even still it wouldn't add up to 15 grand. Those are just a matter of a few pieces of CPVC pipe.
