Sorry I have no idea if they still operate with NCI.Last edited by a moderator: Jul 10, 2014
jestedsniper and northstarfire0693 Thank this. -
1) We get along pretty well for the most part. Typically there is no discussion of coming back until I call in asking for work, typically by day 4.
2) Depends on my needs, sometimes twice a month, sometimes 2 months out but I typically build in days somewhere I want to be in that. I think it is 1 day off per week out with a 4 day max off....however it's a very flexible company so it's possible you could occasionally stretch that by a day if your also running good revenue while you are out. 7 might be a stretch to park a truck.
3) They don't provide a CB. The truck is assigned and in my almost 2 years I was assigned one, then got a brand new one after a year. No one has driven my truck other than me except when I teamed with a driver on a short run to get him back to his truck. I did have a couple quick rounds of driving other trucks while mine was in the shop. No big deal.
4)I'm a company driver, started Sept 2012 western regional (but run most anywhere by choice). New guys come weekly but they seem to have about 35% career drivers that wouldn't leave for anything and another group that won't last a year. I'm not a salesman so I don't say they are a good company....they are another Wall Street bred organization and your results will vary, but they are very laid back, I've never heard about stats being good or bad on miles, fuel mileage, driving or anything else. It seems you can work as hard or as little as you want. They don't push you to do anything, just communicate what your thought process is and they will accommodate.jestedsniper and teqntexas Thank this. -
coolrider and big ole bear both have pretty much summed up my experience so far with NCI as well. my dm is pretty good about the home time. i'm typically out 3 weeks by choice, pretty sure the min out is 12 days. So far he hasn't called me on home time, i just call him the day before i'm ready to head out so he knows to get me planned before i get in the truck.

I contacted a recruiter and she emailed emailed me. I replied with a few questions but she still hasn't emailed me back yet. Not the greatest start, but I'm going to email her again tomorrow and see what happens.
I really appreciate all the replies, folks. I'm torn right now though. I really like the Cascadia, but the K-dub having an apu and looking the way it does is pretty awesome too.
How do you guys/gals feel about those automatics?
I know you take what they give you, but if they ask which I'd prefer... -
whose your recruiter? mine was Donna, pretty quick and straight forward with me. as for the trucks, the 680s have apus, not many, if any of the 700s do. as for the auto? well i'll take that with the apu and the fridge that comes in them in a heartbeat.
if your recruiter flakes on ya pm me and i'll dig up Donna's email and numbers.
teq.jestedsniper Thanks this. -
Thanks teqntexas!

My recruiter is not to good with emails either then calls me when I can't answer at work and her hours are different than mine with time difference. A bit frustrating. I might need that number and/or email for Donna as well.
jestedsniper Thanks this. -
Are they sll automatics now?
jestedsniper Thanks this. -
From what I was told, the Cascadia's are sticks and the T680's are auto.
