I currently drive for Greatwide and that company should be called Greedwide. I had a breakdown and they paid to have it fix and they said they will take 500 dollars out my settlements each week. But when I got it they took the whole amount out my settlement then the don't pay enough in fuel. For me to run from Nogales, Az to Cedar City, It they only give me 300 or 250 in fuel which I then have to put 3 to 4 hundred dollars of my money in it. But then not only that problem, whenever you call the office to discuss your issues with your settlements they are the most nastiest people I ever heard on the phone, make you want to get a load to Longhorne, Pa and catch them coming out. So I'm truly don't recommend this company to owner operators because each week you will have a surprise settlement every Friday.

So they paid for the repair on your equipment and took their money back? And then they expect you to use your money for fuel in your truck?

Yes but the initial agreement was that they take $500 out each week then I'm paying IFTA each week and trailer Rental 175 insurance and other things that they come up with each settlement.

well i am with greatwide, ats side and i havent had no issues with them. and as far as the trailer , how you going to haul freight if you dont own one ? its called rent. I have talked to many in the cooperate office and havent had issue with any of them some of the nicest people i have ever dealt with , it all goes off how you talk to them. you must not know much about being an o/o because if you did , then you woould know that , ifta does come out weeklyand insurances do as well as trailer rent, same everywhere, if you dont want that then get your own authorityand you can pay it all at once

I think the point he's making is : they renigged on an agreement to deduct 500 a week on the repair for his money maker so there's a lack integrity on greatwides side
    .....imagine that

Well that's good that it works for you, but I'm posting what I had issues at. But I hope you don't think someone is dumb, off course you got get a trailer but taxing $90 on top of that and IFTA companies pay that. So if feel that you are living the good life with them, that's good and I know just as much about o/o as you do. So fine a page that has good things to say about Greedwide thank you.

You didn't do your research, if you had you would have run some where else. there are about 95% of companies that are bad.
It don't pay to get in trcuking. I been in it 21 years and hate it, i'm a owner operator and it is worse, you will be working for free a lot.
Truck companies like drivers that are willing to work for free, you could work for Jack In The Box and make more money and be at home
every night. Now they want you to not tell other drivers that they are no good, when they are no good. I tell new people to run as fast
as they can, get away from trucking, because the cost is going up and up and the pay is going down and down. I have been trying to get
out for 21 years, once you get in it is hard to get out. RUN.

Thank you! And that's all I was doing, explaining my issues with the company. I been Trucking for 9 years now and was getting paid 13 dollars and 15 dollars and hour. But me and my wife started finding our own loads and now it looks like things are looking up. But you are right when I get my degree in Business this coming May i'am running fast.
