I signed up as a member just to warn fellow drivers a new drivers of the travesty that is USA truck

Terrible. .Terrible. ..Terrible. .Like many of you reading this I didn't heed the warnings chalking it up to disgruntled drivers. This is the worst company period. I can go on and on about ky horrible experiences with usa truck but I will just cover the one that caused me to quit. I recovered abtruck with over 500 thousand miles on it. It ran well for the first few weeks then it began losing alot of coolant. I was told to go to peterbilt in baton rouge LA. I arrived on a mon USA put me in a hotel room as the truck wasnt able to be worked on immediately. On Wednesday breakdown from usa called me and asked me why I went to the shop and who told me to go. They had no idead I had been there for 3 days. The peterbilt said they found some lose clamps and that was the problem. Three days later my coolant reservoir was empty again. I was told to take it to the USA terminal in calisle PA this time. I arrived there on a mon they made wait til wedesday at which point the mechanic took my keys for 30 min and brought them back saying they fixed the leak. The truck hadn't been moved from where I parked. 3 days later again my coolant resivoir was empty again. This time I was sent to the Atlanta GA terminal. I arrived on a friday and was told they couldn't get to the truck til monday. At this point I was experiencing oil pressure issues as well. They took the truck in the shop saturday at 7 pm I asked if they would have it all night they told me no and I wont need a hotel room. They gave the keys back at 5am and said they went as far as they could and needed more parts. Mon came and again they took the truck a 7pm saying it wont be long and I wont get a room. Again 4 am I recieved the keys, they said they are having issues regening the truck so it needs to be looked at some more. Tuesday at 7pm they took it again and at 4 am the mechanic told me they were having to order a part and he would recommend I get a transfer to another truck. That after noon the woke me to eagerly tell me I was getting a fairly new truck and I was lucky that they had one on the yard. This new truck had no apu and an 5 min Idle limit that they refused to take off leaving me no way to keep cool or warm I had eniugh at the is point aft we sitting for almost a week this is how the treated me. I would implore anyone considering this company to get as far away as possible its all true this company is horrendous. They dont take care of their drivers one bit which is why they have such a high turn over rate. If you ignore this warning your risking your career and your life AVOID USA TRUCK!.

Dude. I get your beef and it sucks, but how exactly am I risking my life with them???

Btw I drive for USA and love it here. Also, that 5 min shutdown can be overridden. Step on fuel in N and rev engine. Or to make it run all night. Release the breaks. Put in 1st. Roll forward a few feet. Set the breaks put in N. Wait for idle shut down light once it comes on. Rev the engine. Truck will run all night.

I have no idea why you love it there. Your risking your life because they DO NOT maintain their equipment especially their trailers. Im not going to do a ritual every time I want to get comfortable in my truck. I've heard all the ways tou can supposedly by pass the idle turn off. Its a matter of principle we are away from our homes and families the least they can do is keep us comfortable in their trucks. I have drove ylfor exellent companies like Conway and crete and the comparison is night and day. I only seeked employment at USA because I hadn't drove for a year and needed to get some experience again and USA isn't even good enough for that. I have experienced nothing but pain and anguish under the usa brand and I feel its my duty to my fellow driver to speak the truth so no one else has to go through the mess that I did.

I drove for Crete too. This place better than Crete by far. Also, every company, except WalMart, has shotty trailers. I agree trucks need to be better maintained but I'm making more money here than I did with Crete. And my dm actually does care about me. That's why I'm here.

I'll never forget what one of my fellow drivers at Schneider told me when I was first starting out. He told me that prior to Schneider, he worked for USA Truck. I asked him how he liked working over there. He literally said, "like working for Satan".

Fast forward to a couple of weeks ago. When I put out on TruckJobSeekers that I was looking for a new job, USA Truck was quick to send me an email offering me a $5000 SOB. That was an immediate incentive for me NOT to even say a word to them.

I would've been askin for another truck ,keep the hotel room ....i think some drivers just don't stick up for themselves
If they couldn't get me into another truck by 2pm ,THEN put me in a room ###### ,im not the night watchmen ,gotta fresh in the am to drive my fixed truck or my new truck THAT'S the option !!! .....instead you were the good driver that was sleeping in the drivers lounge waiting for your truck to be ready to drive at 2am ...because you didn't push em for another truck OR a fixed truck OR a room as a last option ,ALWAYS PUSH EM FROM THE HIGH GROUND ...you're OM knows and understands you'd rather be makin a buck then sitting in a room by 2pm ...NOT 2am
