If I understand the story correctly. ...you were gone before end of orientation. ..therefore you never received an employee number and your unpleasant experience won't hit DAC report...I've enjoyed McElroy from day one. ..and certainly recommend this company for any rookie driver

If you wash out during orientation -- especially due to a positive drug test -- it absolutely can go on your DAC. You had been conditionally hired but failed to meet those conditions -- that's something companies like to share with each other so they don't waste more money transporting, housing, and feeding people who washed out with their peers.

I wouldn't worry much ,DAC can only report true facts ,you didn't fail your drug screen so that's a fact ,as far as mr David goes ,? ....he can't prove you said or did anything wrong at all ...keep in mind these companies are a dime a dozen ....atleast you learned a lesson move on ,you will have no problem getting into a better outfit ,sounds like you dodged a bullet by not getting on board with these people ...this is the land of milk and honey ,there's plenty of money to be made ya just gotta figure out how to get your hands on it ....don't let anyone try to make you feel hopeless

You can honestly tell your next company you have never failed a drug test.
You talked too much; what happened is you received an integrity interview.
During an integrity interview you may be asked the same question in different formats, 2 or 3 times, just to see if you give the same answer. Melton Truck Lines does that also. Sometimes a phone interview can trip you up with questions like that. "At will" states don't need a reason to fire someone. Put in some more applications; tell another company you want 48 states running and McElroy wasn't going to give you that.

    Here's why you left:

"Job Overview McElroy Truck Lines, Inc. is a flatbed truckload carrier operating primarily in the Southwest, Southeast, Midwest and Mid-Atlantic regions."

he may file unemployment but it wont be on McElroy it will be based on his last 3 quarters from previous jobs. McElroy wont have to pay anything in unemployment, also if he reports he was let go for a dirty test even if he were clean and could prove it he would have found another job by the time all the red tape was finished

Just my 2 cents, but you may not have been let go due to the drug test. I'm sure you saw all the cameras and microphones around the cuba terminal where you were training. Those people watch every move you make and listen to every word you say through CCTV. You could have said something, anything, they didn't like. I know this because when I went to orientations there, we had a guy that was complaining about how hot it was. To make a long story short, he was fired for having a "Bad Attitude." But it was only for complaining about the heat. McElroy is a crap company, and yes "Mr. David" is a liar, and a white trash redneck.

To be completely honest with all of you...any trucking company that touts themselves on their own website as being founded and run/managed on the concept of Christian values makes me want to RUN from them. That in itself is a huge red flag, and any chance they have to hold their religious values over you they will take advantage of.

You're late on a load? Screw you...you lied to us. No Christian would do that.
You're overweight? Screw you...you lied to us. No Christian would do that.
You were speeding? Screw you...you lied to us. No Christian would do that.

How do these folks feel about running freight on the day of rest? Go to work for them and find out. They may not be in the office on Sunday...but I'm sure they expect the wheels to be turning on Sunday. "Oh...you're a good Christian truck driver and want to take Sunday off? Screw you, even Jesus knows how to grind gears on a holy day."

    Tuesday Thanks this.
