McElroy Trucking.

I received my CDL's on 6/19/14. I was scheduled to go to Cuba AL on 6/30/14 for orientation with McElroy Truck Lines. Everything was going as planned by my third day ,and the company was everything I was hoping it would be. After taking my agility test on 7/1/14 I was scheduled to go through a brief interview. I can't remember our instructors last name, but his first name is DAVID! For some reason I felt while we were in the interviewing room and everything was confidential that I would be a honest person. McElroy takes two drug test one being an urine sample, and the other a hair follicle, which were taken on 6/30/14. While interviewing I told Mr. David I wasn't (sure) of my hair follicle exam because I didn't know how far it goes back. Mr. David tells me "Everything's ok if your results come back positive then company policy we can't use you, but if it comes back negative we would love to have you because we want you to drive for us, and everyone has a past." He concludes with, "this conversation will not leave this room." The following day is tarp day 7/2/14. In between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. Mr. David approached me and ask me, "if I had my phone" I replied, "yes i do, do i need to turn it off." He responds NO keep it on the doctor will be giving you a call today. I returned back to my assigned duties. Within the same hour Mr. David approaches me again and tells me my urine samples came back and they were negative. The urine sample was not my concern! So after working all day in the scorching sun we returned back to the class room at approximately 4:00 p.m.. Mr. David called me out of the class and informed me that my hair follicle sample came back "HOT" I guess that was his word for positive, because he followed with "by company policy we can't use you." I was disappointed, but I wasn't blaming anyone but Myself. So the following day on my trip back to Atlanta I decided to call the doctor who my sample had been sent. So i come to find out that neither one of my test were positive and that Mr. David used my honesty against me. I also talked to Mr. Craig V. personnel director and he also told me neither one of my results were positive, and he didn't know why Mr.David would tell me something like that. Listen drivers I can't and will not waste my time to make this up. WHY!! I liked everything about the company until then. My personal opinion that was not an act with high christian morals and ethics that was pure deceit.

 

Wild Murphy you are totally right maybe I shouldn't have said anything. That still doesn't justify the fact that he used what I told him against me. And if you read my post completely you will see that my drug test were not positive. And my intentions were not to "flame a company" at all, but to shed light on one employees' deceitful and unethical actions. I am a man and I will fully accept and admit to my shortcomings.

 

I'm glad I was truthful because now I see the type of person I would have had on my team. MY TEST WERE NEGATIVE. He still lied to me. Not cool!!!
