I must of missed the part about you asking for LEASE INFO in your other post as you can see you made no mention of LEASE in it
"Looking for some info on Celadon as a company how do they treat there drivers what are you getting for miles whats your average length of haul is it drop n hook hows the home time and equipment.
anyone doing there lease i heard it was ok you could live off doing it and see home alittle im sure its not true but just putting the feelers out there thinking about switching Companies "
CELADON is not a place you want to be!!!!!!!

ive only got 7 months experience on my own, but by listening to people talk, other drivers sharing their experiences and doing my research....
its real easy to figure out you dont ever sign a lease agreement with any company. EVER.
better to save a down payment and go finance your own truck through your own lender and get with a broker and get set up on an account or a few accounts. or if you have the right contacts you can find your own freight.
this way if freight slows down with an account you can go somewhere else any time.
and a company (like with a lease program) cant yank your miles and dictate the terms of what you do and where you go and dont go or take your truck from you.
but i guess common sense just aint so common nowadays. -
Buying a "truck on your own" is no guarantee that one will be successful either... You have more money upfront
thou... Some companies do have a walk-away-lease, but if buying thru a bank, very hard to just walk-away from
that obligation..
If one would look, there are also posts where some are successful in their lease/purchase too... -
Anyway, truck broke down on the side of the road an made it to a Tstop. Still sitting in the hotel waiting on international to fix me maxcrapper. 2 weeks in a hotel now. Getting sick of this place. -
2) The company can get up to $2000.00 up front (max), $500 mid-term and $2500 after the driver graduates.
3) If you don't maintain a 51% graduation rate, financial aid will slap you, and eventually pull your charter.
4) If the student does not graduate, the school does not get full payment.
I know these things for sure. I worked for a real school for three years and I recently consulted with an O/O who's opening a local school. When I hear statistics like that I have to think you're just repeating what other, uninformed drivers have told you. Maybe the 17% do not go to work for them, but do go elsewhere? But they're definitely not getting $10K from my Uncle Sammy...Captain Zoom Thanks this. -
I'm working for Celadon right now, just finished orientation. From what I see and all the drivers and lease operators I have talked to, things look really promising. No negative energy or stories going around.

They, Celadon, didn't work out the first week. Wanted me to sign some stupid contract giving up about $0.12 a mile. I went with Gordon (GTI) instead. Been here since January, great miles, great pay, good company.
Lonestardriver15 Thanks this. -
