Sounds like he does not know how it log for one thing and isn't he the same driver who took it upon himself to drive empty from Phoenix az till they found him in Winslow az. And then lied to dispatcher about needing lumper money at a place that we pay lumper? And running off with the money after leaving truck in the yard? I'm a driver for rains and sons and would not drive for anyone else. If FedEx was so good why is he not there? A bus ticket, hotel and lunch sounds pretty e to me. I got a new truck the first week of December 2013 and now have 122496 miles on it so if you run you can.I'm out 3 to 3 1/2 weeks out and 3-4 days home. THIS IS A GREAT COMPANY we all want to make more money work less and be at home more but this is trucking so either truck it up or go home and flip burgers we chose to get a CDL I don't remember anyone forcing me to get it.

 

So you got a New truck in December of 2014 and have already put 122496 miles on it? How does that work when it's currently August of 2014?

Rains and Sons does a lot of grocery stores and we do have a lot of stops but we get drop pay. When you're new at any company you have to prove yourself. I didn't get pay for orientation but I knew most of the 3days is waiting for drug test to come back.

 

I would have insisted (after THAT long) that I sit long enough for a 34 hr. restart---at that far in, what have you got to lose for another 8 or 9 hours?

 

How is he out of hours with only 1400 miles in 5 days? Jusy sayin'

 

not true..he needs to do 15/30 min loading or unloading while on duty then be in the sleeper...off duty is used when your out of the trk completly...

 

Show me the reg that states you must log 15/30 min for load and unload? Off duty is used for out of truck only? Explain that to the guys sitting in the truck during their 30 minute break. You might want to brush up on the regs before you go running around the internet telling people they're wrong.
