I think the crying is sickening...I just started with rains and sons...I had vacation scheduled 12 days after I started...they only ran me short haul to keep me in the area til I left....tx and Oklahoma...I brought home after taxes around 1800 dollars...didn't hold nothing...they are just as straight up and honest as can be....I think your husband was expecting a fedex type of operation...this ain't that...this is real trucking...and be honest...your husband only ran team....never ran a real over the road reefer truck....tried to come back empty from Phoenix to Oklahoma because he didn't understand the way it worked...then came in and abandoned the truck at the yard when he should have manned up and at least delivered the load, instead of leaving the customers freight and not telling anybody....really, just in case you don't know it....it's all about customer service....when you screw over the customer, trying to get at the company, you just put nails in your own coffin....because these companies talk to each other and your husband will be lucky to get another trucking job after they list him for abandoning the truck....face it, he blew it ...big time..
truck2027 and ChefBrianN Thank this. -
I don't put a whole lot of stock into a "Mrs" that sits on her can at home and bad mouths her husband that is trying to make a living and support his family regardless of who he is driving for. Additionally, she is publicly bad-mouthing the company he is trying to support his family with by driving for and that is some major FAIL right there. Good grief...

Thanks for the heads up. They advertise in Tucson, AZ on Craigslist as well.

I worked for raines for 1 month. That was about 29 days to long. Sure they have nice equipment. Generally the office personal treat you ok . But the operations manager will expect you to run 5 to 6000 miles a week. That's solo. Dispatch sucks it's 1 woman she's about as dumb as a box of rocks. Hometown unless you live in there backyard forget it. Paper logs loose leaf. No 34 hour resets. Basically the good old boy system. If you enjoy running illegal. This is the company for you.

To set some things straight here we go... The ops manager will NOT have you run 5-6k a week as a solo. You will get 3200-3800 on average and that's about all you will do as a solo. They do have paper logs, but you are expected to be a professional driver and run legal. The safety manager will review your logs for accuracy and legality. Dispatch is great and never had an issue with them always nice and prompt in answering my questions or need for assistance. If you know how to trip plan and do your job you will have a great career here. Home time is not an issue as long as you request it with appropriate notice, as you should do with any job.
Rains and Sons is the best company I have ever driven OTR for and i am looking forward to getting back with them shortly after having talken some time off. -
That only fueling at the loves sucks tho! Their showers suck, food sux and parking sux. That's a killer for me right there. I like to be able to fuel where and when I want to make it work on the funny book, my dinner and my shower time.
