I recently left NationWide express and they deducted a total of 760.00 dollars from my paycheck for no notice, under dispatch, cleaning of equipment. which is part of a bogus contract. It is also part of said contract that I have my Hazmat and keep it throughout my employment, never had it and they knew it so there contract was breached from the start. I left the company when I realized how not on top of things they where, 3 months before i left they put me in a different truck and the elog was not working. I informed them dispatch, terminal manager, shop, they changed a module still didn't work. I started running paper logs and never turned one day my log sheets into the company and never heard a thing from them about it. I have my logs but they have no clue as to what I was doing or if I was legal. really crappy company without a clue. they have no records of my logs for the last 3 months of my employment.I am sure a dot audit will cost them more than the 760.00 they stole from me!!

Driver did you sign agreements with NATIONWIDE EXPRESS if not you and a few other drivers have a law suit against them .....get in contact with your colleagues for a class action law suite

there is an agreement but the first condition was for me to have and keep my hazmat before and during my employment with them. I didn't have nor have I ever had my hazmat. that alone should void any agreement.

Was it a itemized list of deductions ? ....on $760. ?
Is it true you were under a load or just according to dispatch ? ...(they will hit your DAC ) dispute it if it is not true !!
DAC reports by law you can dispute a lie !!!! ....next time turn you're equipment in ,get a signed agreement letter saying this truck was parked and in good clean condition ! this company seems to think they can POWER TRAP
Their drivers , watch whatcha sign .....$ 760. worth of company policies here at NATIONWIDE EXPRESS
Rodger that ! ....id would debate them on this ! ....if TN is a "right to Work " state ....
the employer fire you for anything ,...the employee can leave without notice ,it only be noted
" left without notice of intent " .....hope that helps " gotta wise up on these crafty companies "
Read the laws and play the game ....remember CYA !!!!!!

    thanks for the reply superflow.
by law they are supposed to keep my logs for at least 6 months I think. they don't have the first log for the last 3 months, I am sure a DOT audit will cost them alot more than 760.00

Should have went to Big G no contracts here, I live in the Shelbyville,Tn. area, out of the 3 companies headquartered here, Nationwide has the worst reputation.

Oh yeah ....logs are suppose to be on file for 7 months ....yes that's about a $ 1000 fine ,but they will blame you for not turning in the logs ......but you have copies ,so you don't know have any ideal why they don't have them on file
...offer DOT the copies if they need them to prove you did turn the logs in ....they have to provide an itemized list of deductions and a signed agreement before taking your $

They took the money and upon my request show me the employee agreement that was broken when I signed it. they are gonna hold remaining pay until I provide them with my logs. That wasn't part of any agreement, but they feel they have the right I guess. A DOT audit is in there very near future.

I was a driver at Nationwide for 11 years. They were not perfect but I did fine there. There's surely more to this story.
