Really do not know all the little details of this incident, but after all the dust was settled, I would just simply called Enterprise and got myself a car and said, 'KISS MY REAR". I cannot understand why mature adults allow themselves to be abused, intimidated and "robbed".

The older I get, the more I understand people "being pushed over the edge" and reading about some employee going "postal".

There are plenty of reasons to not like Heartland, but you didn't expect them to deliver you to your house did you? 50 miles isn't that far.

The only option here that i see was to rent a car and go home. Getting a hotel room doesn't help you or them, getting a bus ride doesn't help If you still have your personal stuff in the tractor. I'm to stubborn I wouldn't have even asked them for anything and surely not expect something after I quit. You go home all or most weekends and you couldn't have quit on hometime? If I sound like an arse I apologize but I gotta be missing something because I don't see any option other than renting a car.

Consider err yourself lucky if they don't truck abandonment on your DAC.

Except...kind of hard to abandon equipment when it was towed for mechanical failure to a shop...hopefully he got documentation to show that...

You know it. PeopleNet message showing when the load was dropped in Orlando, and when the truck was delivered to the shop. Photos of all messages on my phone. Let them mess with my DAC.

KC....just want to add prayers and best wishes to you and your mom. You did what you had to do, bottom line.

50 miles from home ? You could cab it for a hundred. I mean, you said your mom's sick, so why go to a hotel that close to home ? The next morning you would still be 50 miles from home, right ?

Explanation: The cab fare from downtown Orlando to Cocoa Beach is actually about $120.00. I only had $70.00 stuck back for emergency, which I used for the hotel. And being dusk when the truck was brought to the shop, I was not going to have her or my girlfriend pick me up in downtown Orlando at that hour. It gets quite nasty there when the sun goes down.

That right, I work for smaller company. 1 terminal manager, one dispatcher, and it great, because it kind of more personal. I meant we sometime go at it, but at least we get to know each other on a personal level. a lot of thing we don't agree upon, but at least you know why they do the way they do. I used to work for Conway( great company by the way). but I don't think I ever see my DM person to person before. It make u feel like you just a number on the door of your tractor.
