without getting into a log class with you. If you have a 600 hundred mile trip and you go straight to the customer and take you break there when you get unloaded you will have a fresh 14 hrs virus doing your break at a truck stop etc 15 miles from the customer which is fine also but if it takes them 2 hrs to unload you then another 2 hrs to get loaded somewhere else you can now only drive 10 hrs and you haven't event stopped for fuel food shower etc

trip planning and thinking ahead about how to best maximize hours is just to much of a headache.I run till I get tired, take a two hour nap,run an hour stop for another one to eat at a sit down, then stop for a hour and a half more for fuel and a shower. So I just ate up 4 and half of my 14, but I'm rested, well feed, and clean..so is that improper HOS management? A lot of times I have to tell my dispatcher I cant del until I take another 10 20 miles from the receiver...he says what happeded? I said nothing, just ran out of hours..

Like I said what works for me may not work for you. .. you have to do what ever it's takes if you run that way and you happy and pay your bills that's great. All I am saying if you run your log book tight you can still legally run good miles each week. .. nice chatting with you take care and drive safe

Oh don't worry guys, I work with BTC and can verify the OP's claim. SAFETY destroys your DAC, puts illegal stuff in it so other companies won't hire you, etc.

Equipment is old and you pay for any equipment you break, and trust me, a LOT of their equipment is older than their 2006 or older trailers that break down often. The trucks... Lets just say I had to replace virtually everything,to do with the engine and air system.

    Not a good company peeps.

I wont argue with the older equipment. But this crap abour safety putting stuff on your dac is pure ######## those folks have better things to do. I was there for 21 yrs with the exception of 6 yrs overseas. I No longer work there but have nothing bad to say about the company its a job maybe not the best paying but they have freight and there money is good. If im not mistaken there upgrading there fleet now. I stand by my comments on being a good company especially for someone just starting out.....

Didn't just start out, Driver. And I'm sure if you stay at a place long enough, you become like a rock and weather the storm.

I have friends that work in safety and recruiting, I used to work for them and did for a while. I pray to have to never go back. Youll always be the lowest paid in the industry, loads are more so short loads, sign on bonus and safety bonus are the same. (guaranteed to lose both)

Family insurance is 200.00 a week. you might avg. 1800 to 2200 miles a week.

Havent had a raise for 9 years up till this last Feb., then it was only .03 a mile increase. Thats a whole .003 cents a mile raise per year for the last nine years, with no further raises in sight.

You will go broke there. If you cant go anywhere else, this is a great place for you to finish off your career in trucking and possibly ruin your license for a while. The shop only fixes things that are shut down offence only! So you will get wrote up. (CSA) They are scum and youll be treated as so.

This was a great Company at one time, but a man named Jimmy Golden screwed it up and Wiley ran him off years ago. Now Wileys not around much anymore and they have a Driscoll Coalquet and Bobby Brown ruining it. Steven Sanders (Wileys son) I guess doesnt really give a rats backside I guess.

Yea, this is the lowest form of trucking, Wiley Sanders Truck lines.. Get ya some if you cant go anywhere else!!

I dont think theyll hurt your DAC as well, they are depending on you coming back when you quit them, beggers cant be choosy. They arent the Company you used to know, they are a bottom feeder company that yea if your first starting and dont want to make much money EVER! Yea get 6 months to a year with them and leave, that is if your csa score is low enough for you to leave, because they are real good at screwing that up. I know from my personal experience and with all those I know there in non driving positions and driving, Id advise stay away! Life is screwed up enough sometimes even at its best, why make it worse on your own..
