Knight transportation may be a good company for new drivers
Worked out of the gulfport ms terminal and the 1st to months where good then it started going down hill , was suppose to be regional and just couldn't get any miles so I changed to nationwide and still couldn't get miles, the last two months I was their I had to borrow money to pay my house payment and I was staying out 18 to 21 days just to try and make some money.
Got tired of begging for more miles
1600 to 2000 miles a week just don't cut it

    hal380 Thanks this.

Yep...I was informed by a certain person in Phoenix that more than 2500mi a week was a thing of the past in this industry...that drivers will have to settle for 2100 mi because that's how it is...real funny..I'm avg 3100mi/wk at my new company...on elogs too...knight is a joke...

Go somewhere else. I averaged 2800 a week where I was (on elogs), but I did the 48.

Well i am out of the Carlisle terminal and i have a dedicated run in which i average 2800 - 3800 miles a week. I am home every 3 days for my 10 hour break but i usually stay home for 15 hours then head back out. Think i will give up this dedicated route anytime soon. No way.

So you only get 10-15 hrs off every 3 days? You can keep that dedicated account.

You can spend frequent, quality time at home or you can average 3200 mile/week. But you can't do both.

If you're with a truckload dry van carrier and spending 2 nights at home every week and running 3200 MPW, you're doing pretty good. Thing is, this driver is the exception rather then the rule at Knight.

3200 miles per week divided by 5 days = 640 miles per day.
