1099? ,payments on THEIR trucks ? ....sounds like welfare trucking to me ,how did you get any miles on the eastcoast?
And they have the nerve to make a stink about you getting home to your family ?
....when i hear 1099 ,i walk away unless there's some dam good $ involved and we both know there's no $ in this OTR stuff ,all they can get is rookies that don't know any better ,but that's starting to change to ,so we just gotta wait em out ,when the frght is sitting on the dock rotting ,they might get the message ....i don't even consider OTR trucking to be a feasible income for my family , ....I'll take my 16.30 an hr ,60hrs a wk ,home every night with my wife &kids anytime

 

2014 and nothing has changed. they do have new trucks now, but everything else is the same.
700 to 900 miles a day with a 65 MPH governor.
That insurance is to protect them, not you, but you pay $140 a month for it.
yes you still pay for log books.
Yes they still run short runs in the north east, and yes they still expect 700 plus miles a day even in the north east.
1099 and 37 cents a mile they think this is fair.
they only pay deadhead after 50 miles.
you are paid on PC Miler truck short.
