Omg, it's been a long time! How's my favorite community of peeps been doing? I'm finally, finally posting an update on my, um, misunderstandings with Navajo Trucking. The wheels of justice roll mighty slowly, mighty slowly. I've not yet filed my claim against them in court due to the fact that OSHA has not yet finished their investigation of my multiple complaints. I've been working with a cool investigator named Lisa, who has presented my case to Navajo and Navajo has responded. Lisa told me about a month ago that she was still working on some other older cases so she's not reviewed their response. Once she does, she'll forward their report to me and I'll have the opportunity to rebut. My attorney and I agreed to wait until OSHA finishes their investigation, anticipating that we'll then have a stronger case. The statute of limitations on my claim is two years, 12/4/15, but can't imagine it will take that long. I hope not!
As for my driving career, that has been on ice but am hitting the road again at the end of the month! Yay!! I am truly excited. Who is the lucky (ha) company? Well, Sir, I'm tell ya. I contacted Arnold last month and as I reported in my earlier threads, they did not fire me (they had no reason), and I was invited back for Orientation. I haven't called them yet, but I am actually starting with Henderson out of IL on the 29th instead. I'm very excited about this company, and just know my trainer will not strand me hundreds of miles from home with empty pockets!
I look forward to reconnecting with You'all, and hope this post finds you all healthy and safe!

Why do people bounce around from one bad company to another.
In my opinion Navajo isn't a bad company, but people just don't try to improve by getting all the endorsements and moving up the pay scale. They just slide sideways Arnold to Henderson to blah, blah same old, same old.Dark_Majesty_06, 8thnote, flyingmusician and 5 others Thank this. -
That job hoping will stop ,if drivers started doing research on trucking companies before jumping on the first train outta town ,messing up their CSA ,MVR,DAC reports ,makin no $ .....i would like to see more rookie drivers ball up and say no thank you sir , ....and realize this career could end with instant death ,this equipment explodes , there been many drivers
that have burned to death trapped inside the truck ...so why not take the time to look at track records ,equipment matinence ,OTR will keep you away from loved ones as it is ,but it really stinks to find out later ,800 miles from home ,that the company ,you hopped on with is more wasted time & efforts and even mess your license up ,work history alsohal380 Thanks this. -
Moving is fine, as long as the move is always up.
Red Hot Mess, 123456, Gearjammin' Penguin and 4 others Thank this. -
I remember reading over the original post briefly. This thread was brought to my attention because I work for them, but I really don't have much to say, just as I didn't then. I don't drive for them, I'm not "in the loop" as far as your situation went, so there really won't be any benefit for either of us if I weigh in on the whole matter.
However it goes, it goes. Hope things work out for you with your new carrier, and that you're able to come to some resolution regarding the other situation. -
Shaggy Thanks this.
