I'll be as simple as possible here .They put out an add on Craigslist , basically , promising la creme' de la creme' . I got hired, was shipped up to Chicago on the TB express (Greyhound). Upon arrival, I will say the hotel was very good , but in nowhere's ville . With only one restaurant across the street to eat at . The van driver will charge you to get around at $10 per pop , and good luck he is in no hurry to get there for you .Ok, so orientation was supposed to be 1.5 days and took 3 . What they showed you could have taken 1 day , but thanks to a lack of moving fast and concentra .... 3 days . Ok , now we get the trucks . Volvo 670 10 speeds . And what I got was far from the paradise they advertised . I got a 2012 , 20 mph up hills loaded , 50 empty . Basically to me trash trucks . The trailers were decent , although I found it funny they hired me at 43 cpm , and advertise 45 cpm on their trailers . Now , I was told that the truck had a bunk heater , looked and looked . And what I found was a used condom under the bunk . Really good truck detailing on their part . But no bunk heater and the truck is set not go idle .
Next is the best part . How you make your money . Your dispatcher . I did not get to meet him at orientation. But I got a telephone call by someone that spoke broken english so fast that all I could do was say yes , and to what I still don't l know. I was told we were going home to get our gear , nope I was sent to PA , then to NJ and back to the yard. I told him I had to get home to get my gear, he stated that he would do me the "favor" but not to tell anyone . Home time is not a favor .... it is earned time off for work done . So , we are batting zero , and I am getting pretty pissed off now . On the way to the yard I sent 3 messages on the qualcom and 2 phone calls , no answer. Finally I have to call my recruiter that wants me to stay here no matter what , promising a better truck and a new dispatcher . But by now I am really pissed . I get directions to the yard , so vague and sent in a ## manner that of course I got lost . I get to they yard and I'm done , pack it up and on the hound homeward bound .
I don't recommend this place . Don't waste your time . They also do E-LOGS, I can say this is a chain and not a positive way of making money . And the E-LOG class was fast and the threat of facing a pissed off safety director loomed if you violated your logs , really nice ... welcome boys and girls .
You accept the job and not do your homework like me , you waste your time . This company is run by Latvians that do as they wish , you off course are just the tool . Don't be a tool , stay away from this one .

 

They are also here in the Atlanta area . They believe that they are above the law .
