Look up Michael Hayes he has a quick answer for everything, said he met me in Ga. when I was still in S.C. visiting my son, daughter & grandkids when I got the call on my phone from Calvin, He was nasty & rude, then hung up on me. You wanted to Know. He would not call back my Attorneys either when I got back to Ga. What about the dock camera's and phone records he claimed to have, I'm an old white guy, he is a young black man, who could not tell the difference. I just want my DAC corrected the easy way or the hard way. Lack of work would be just fine!

report em

The way business is conducted at Carolina Cargo reminds me of the illegal aliens standing in front of home depot wanting day labor, work cheap or we tell, take the pay, then go away, you are a dime a dozen.

It would be great if there were other companies that would hire an ex felon.
most of them require your felony to be 10 years old.
the ones i really get pissed off with are the one that say felonies must be ten years old and then they want to know what it was.
Wait a minute,, you said ten years old, then you want to talk out of both sides of your mouth MR recruiter. You said ten years old so Im not gonna tell you . CT is not hiring for SC
BTC as far as I know will hire a felon with 6 months or a year.
Who wants to do flatbed.
as for out of route and idling,, TMC will make CC look like Santa Claus.

Help 2 Doors Closing???

According to sources at the local Employment Security Commission (ESC), Carolina Cargo Inc. is faced with having to close their doors in the near future.

Thru yet another bankruptcy match, the company's focus has turned to freight brokerage, Carolina Logistics.

Several office and shop personnel have sought the assistance from Job Placement Specialist, at the ESC offices, to help them to find employment, prior to the final closing.

This transition from Carolina Cargo Inc - Carolina Logistics is near.
Currently they have both Companies operating out of their Rock Hill, SC office and subsequent warehouse. They continue to rent space for their Truck Drvr Tng School, CDI.

The drivers will be the last to be notified that there will be a company closing. Leaving the drivers and their families out on a limb, suffering.

This is very sad.

CUZ,

You might want to look for another job yourself. In addition, stop being so negative about other companies that are suggested to Ex Offenders. These drivers need some honest answers and decent employment options.

When CCI closes their doors, again, where will you be as an advocate for these drivers?

Only time will tell.

CC closing

I kinda figured something was going on .
I cant say your wrong kc because your probably right.
I dont have to look for another job because I have not worked for CC since feb 08. I do feel bad for the truck drivers who will be left hanging.
every thing you said about CC is mostly true. I dont have experience with over idling and out of route miles like you talk about so I can speak of it.
I do know that they have changed since I left them.

My concern is to find a new place of employment for my tenent to work as he is still with them. their trucks are slowly breaking down.
lack of funding and the poor condition of their trucks reminds me of the third reich near the end of the war. slowly the red army is closing in and only those left are in the bunker pretending nothing is going on outside.
maybe they will throw a great big party for bobbie when she leaves to work with her hubby.

It is a shame what the law will allow, back when, people had to operate on a sense of fair play and good values. Not federal incentives to be abused for profit. Yes this is America and the greatest country ever, But I am a Business Major and I had to Pass all my ethics classes and the people at CCI would never have made the deans list.
