every thing you said about CC is mostly true. I dont have experience with over idling and out of route miles like you talk about so I can speak of it.
I do know that they have changed since I left them.

My concern is to find a new place of employment for my tenent to work as he is still with them. their trucks are slowly breaking down.
lack of funding and the poor condition of their trucks reminds me of the third reich near the end of the war. slowly the red army is closing in and only those left are in the bunker pretending nothing is going on outside.
maybe they will throw a great big party for bobbie when she leaves to work with her hubby.

After all this time.....
I can't believe that I just Thanked you!!!

Times are a changing.

In regards to potential employment advise:
Try Gunther Transportation out of NC.

My hint to looking for employment with a jaded past or MVR problems:

Call Truck Drvr Trng Schools, ask them. If they think that you are a potential student then they will provide you with a list of companies that they refer to.

It is a start, you will have to search and research. The job postings on this site as well.
The local ESC offices have experience with placement of this nature as well.

Good luck with your endeavors.

Thanks OldFox!

It is a shame.

These Bottom Feeder Companies abusing the system and congesting the Trucking Industry with drivers that have weak backgrounds.

I would like to start a new Thread in regards to these Bottom Feeder Companies.

We can put our efforts together, along with some Heavy Hitter input from other members of this site.

Exposing companies that abuse the system and exploit drivers for their own personal gain.

Hopefully we can help others and learn from the experience.

Will you guys join me?

KC , you've seen the deal here . There will always be people out there begging to be exploited . "Any job is better than no job . " "If I don't drive a truck what am I going to do ? " "You're trying to discourage me because you're afraid I'll take your job . " "I can make it because I have a positive attitude " "There will always be trucking jobs because people need stuff " and so on and so on . You can't cure stupid . There will always be wannabes with no sense to keep these schools going .

Thanks Rick, I needed that. LMHO

YES, I know all too well hence my signature "....there is another w/ an aspirin in their pocket."

I am already worn out in my brief career in trucking, by just having to deal with the BS and endless issues that arise. Heck I'm ready to fall back on the ol' Waffle House for employment.jk

I do not intend to take on another Newbie by the horns, unless I am receiving commission. Sorry folks, I try, but I get discouraged at times.

Well, for the Bottom Feeder Thread, I want to coral the BF Co's together for the educational benefit of learning how they are able to operate in the manner that they do.
I would like to do my part to try to curve these Federal Incentives. That is a personal goal.

I just want to start a lighthearted thread for members to share, vent, expose and learn. Like Thread is supposed to be. Hah!

Please join me on the Thread. I know a little about this issue. I need your experience to actually get something going.
Thanks!

BTW Rick, I'm hanging more in other Forums, steering clear more and more of confronting much. Afterall; my work here is FINALLY done. Thank God!

Good way to end a lengthy Thread though. Good for us, at least.

Is Carolina Cargo a small mom and pop company? Their website says that you have to have a good record? Yet it seems from you guys here they do not enforce that policy I am looking for a company to give me a second chance and I just moved to SC would Carolina cargo be a viable or somewhat ok choice? Also if they accept people like your saying then does that mean they do not participate in DAC or do they? Any answers I would greatly appreciate sorry if any of these questions have already been answered in the forum but I only have time to make it through about 6 of the 12 pages here.

Rick,

Immediately following your post, yet, "another w/ an aspirin in their pocket." shows up for the job.

For anyone interested, RickG, has started a Thread; Jet Express President Still Clueless."

He is approaching the issue of abuse among Bottom Feeder Co's, like Carolina Cargo Inc., Jet Ex., Stevens ..........

The way he has set this Thread up gives a direct Media Exposure to Public Officials that could possibly change the way that incentives are distributed and other important issues related to abuse of business practices.....

Thank you so much Rick.

Please join us there and share your experiences.

YES, they participate with DAC.

The Job Seekers Forum on this site offers bunches of good information about driving with a Felony, injured MVR.....

There is also a DAC section available to you.

You will need to search and research a bit.

Good luck!

Many articles promoting trucking schools have similar opportunity to post comments after the article . Great way to turn the tables on them and counter their BS with verifiable facts . If newspaper editors permitted it it would be a great way for staff here to promote the site by putting a link in the comment .
