and you still refuse to tell us who the lucky company is that your working for.
instead you regurgitate the same drivel all over again.
thanks to Carolina Cargo, I have 14 months over the road.
I have been accepted to go work for BTC.
And like I said before, I havent worked for CC since feb 08.
I get lots of perks with the job I left CC for.
like being 8 miles from home and getting free building materials,Copper, wood,Crush and run, bricks.
we tear down buildings. I drive a tractor with a dump trailer.
right now I am driving a farm tractor and am clearing out my bosses land under his trees. I manage his pond for him. you see I had lots of good reasons to come back to where I am now.
Do you even have a job?
we all want to know.

I cant say your wrong kc because your probably right.
I dont have to look for another job because I have not worked for CC since feb 08. I do feel bad for the truck drivers who will be left hanging.
every thing you said about CC is mostly true. I dont have experience with over idling and out of route miles like you talk about so I can speak of it.
I do know that they have changed since I left them.

My concern is to find a new place of employment for my tenent to work as he is still with them. their trucks are slowly breaking down.
lack of funding and the poor condition of their trucks reminds me of the third reich near the end of the war. slowly the red army is closing in and only those left are in the bunker pretending nothing is going on outside.
maybe they will throw a great big party for bobbie when she leaves to work with her hubby.
THE POWER OF THE WRITTEN WORD.
In your own words, you just happen to answer your own questions. Hah!

They are CLOSING THEIR DOORS and starting Freight Brokerage, Carolina Logistics.

They were NEVER good with their freight, hence their bankruptcy.

Carolina Cargo History in Brief:

Initially J&J Trucking; declared bankruptcy about 7 years ago - reopened under name Carolina Cargo; declared bankruptcy 2007; changed name, again: Carolina Cargo Inc. They were not able to resuscitate from their current bankruptcy.

Now they are letting Freightliner have their trucks back and re-organizing their operations to focus on freight.

I certainly wish Lewis the best, I have no comment about his wife maybe it's best that way. The safety man seemed fair to me but I wasn't there long enough to know any different. I was originally put out on the road with a decent trainer, after one week he took off to be with his family,Who could fault him, but some young dude talked Calvin into letting him be my trainer cause he was trained by the best, what a con artist. At least I have a legitimate reason, I'm not from da hood. Rookies Beware

I was raised on a very large dairy farm and we always had to step up to step out of the B.S. we, (my 5 brothers and I) were not from da hood, but I'm not in Kansas anymore, so others heed this warning, step around it if you can! Theres no place like home, look local.

Guy's it's easy to Rag ON A Company, In most case's The new Driver is at fault, Just by not knowing what to do when adverse conditions come up.
So get the best training that's out there.
Now, having said that, I know a lot about Carolina Cargo, and the #### story's that are posted on here are ALL TRUE, This is without a dought the worse Company I've ever seen, and I know them well, And I dont take pride in admitting that.
Your life is what you're protecting first of all. With all the things that can and will go wrong on the road, There is NO support at home [dispatch}to help you thur.
If you have issues that may require you to look Cargo's way, I hope there's no one at home that's counting on you making it saftley home.
The freight that they pull SUX, Produce is a headace to start with. It takes a team 10 days to make a turn to the west coast and back. Packing house's are a pain in the ###, and you have at least three or more to hit to build a load,,, 9/ times out of 10, its over on the trailor tamdem, It takes another day for someone to help work that one out,,,,if you can get in touch with anyone.
If you're homeless, and they are a few in the boat, I guess it's better then living under a bridge, and they do use anyone that can pass a license check.
I'm not kicking a ex-felon, jobs are tough right now, Guy's they are other jobs out there, and some are just as BAD, anytime student drivers are out on the road with No support and running team,,That is a recepit for trouble.

All I know is that my tenent is going back to work monday.
all this door closing business is news to him.
I drove for the company 14 months and made decent money.
However I did not start out at 10 cents a mile, but 12.
with the ontime bonus of 1 cent that I always got that came to 13 cents.
I used to travel with exotic reptiles in my car from petshop to petshop over 6 states. so I looked at the produce as a live cargo that had to be looked after.
It rarely took me 10 days to make a turn around .
I have done it in 4.5 days ( Yuma az to dole in bessimer city nc.
I never made a flip and always would go home for 2 to 3 days.
I serious doubt freightliner would be taking back those trucks due to their high milage and beatup condition.
I will believe it when I see it.
Kickin chicken is a master of cut and paste
and still does not say where she is driving.
only 15 out of 100 new drivers are still on the road after one year.
the first year is fraught with anxiety, fear, and inexperience.
most people can not adjust to the lifestyle of an otr trucker.
