There are many ex-offenders on this site that utilize the information available and actually heed the advise given to them from experienced truck drivers.
They set themselves up for success, even with the handicap of their own past.

KC,
I happen to be one of those ex-offenders (5years) whether I like it or not. I have a decent job with a company that I have been with for over two years. Could I get a better one? probably if I did not have this stigma attached to me. Do I make the best of my situation? You're darn right I do. To the ones that want to just complain about their lot in life (most that was brought on yourself) Shut up already. If you want a job in this industry then you are going to have to go through a lot of no's before you get a yes. If this joke you call a company is the best you think you can do then quit complaining about it. If you want a better job then go out and look for it. But, just because you have the old "nobody loves you nobody cares" attitude and think that just because you did your time it shouldn't matter anymore, does not give you the right to berate and be down right rude to the people that are trying to help you. If I remember correctly you asked for their opinion and they gave it to you. Whether you like it or not is your problem. Come on people wake up and get a life!

working for Carolina Cargo

BObbie no longer works there and you need to fax them your mvr before they will think that you are serious about working for them. right now they are in a situation with a diminishing fleet of tractors that they cannot replace.
many drivers that have a truck are staying out on the road longer instead of coming home as often because they may have to wait to get back into a truck if they turn theirs loose.

I very much appreciate your post.

Yes, I accept your apology. I too apologize.

Your attitude is more positive. You are doing your "homework" and gathering information to help yourself to succeed.

I do urge you to continue to do your research before you choose your next potential employer. Bottom Feeder companies, like Carolina Cargo, are everywhere.

I am hoping that your ex-employer will call you back for that dump truck work.

Best of luck to you!!!
