They promise you a lot and deliver little and Orientation is a joke, they talk alot about safety, but talk is cheap, and equal pay /compensation discrimination is something they like to do .every one elase that worked with me got travel pay to job site but when I ask I was told no way ever would I get travel pay . Site Safe Solutions is an oil field roustabou type company that advertises $20 for CDL drivers and then only pays 18 per hr. the man camp is 3 trailers 4 br each with kids beds in them with rails so you get racked when you climb in and out of them. you need to bring every thing you need at home towels sheets pillow tolite paper water food soap for shower, As soon as one crew finshes their two weeks another crew comes in sleeps in same sheets , no one washes the sheets , the bath rooms have never been cleaned , pigs live better .
smokeing in the trucks , the guy in charged of crew would in a pick up lead the way doing 85 at times on a 65 mph posted two lain rd. forceing youto fallow or get left behind ,while you are driving a one ton with gooseneck trailer loaded to the gills. Site Safe Solutions is from Gainesville, TX they do work in TX and New Mexico. Stay away

Nobody forces anyone to do anything unsafe. Or live in less than desirable locations. You do that.

    driverdriver and fuzzeymateo Thank this.

Actually kid I'm giving you advice. You make the choice to be unsafe. Nobody else. The burden falls on you. Every. Time.

Actually he's 100%correct I find it absolutely hysterical and very sad at the same time that so many drivers say "they forced me " . Shameful how week drivers have become.

This is an old argument. Stale. Very stale. Companies have been abusing the people who work for them since the origin of 'master/slave' relationship, where one person/corporation 'owns' another. Labor law, the law of employer/employee relationships developed out of master/slave law.

    That's a fact.

Yes, we have our own personal responsibility. That's life. The OP is rightfully pointing out that Site Safe Solutions said one thing, did another. Not very unusual, in fact.

Thanks to the OP for trying to alert other drivers not to work for them.

Youre re living in a man camp with other dudes.. What did you expect? Along with that, you're around truck drivers.. Have you been to a truck stop recently? I don't like stepping up to a urinal next to most of these guys I sure wouldn't want to live with them. It's the trucking industry and/or oilfield industry.. It's unskilled labor all-around; thus you get all kinds of unsanitary losers that will do it, at least for a period of time. Nobody forces you to speed or break the law... If that's the way it is then you can walk out the same door you came in.

I don't believe that there is any amount of money that could sway me to live in a "man camp". I'm sure some guys in the oil fields make good money, but the price for that money is more than I would be willing to pay. I enjoy driving for a reputable company that expects me to work within the law and having a nice, new, and reliable truck that I don't have to share with anyone. I can keep it as spotlessly clean as I keep my home and be comfortable in it as I enjoy my privacy. Speaking of my home, I am there 3-4 nights per week and enjoy lots of quality time with my kids and my beautiful girlfriend. No amount of money would be enough for me to be expected to constantly break the law, live in filth, and share quarters with disreputable strangers. I make a decent living and I know that I enjoy a better quality-of-life than anyone who resides in a "man camp".

texmade2, if you are as proud of that CDL, rightfully, as you claim to be, get away from those outlaw outfits and find a good company that respects you and allows you to live a life worth living.
