I can't be the first to notice that, at any given time, there are typically 10x more people browsing the "bad" than the "good" company forum. What accounts for this?

Why are we so slow to count our blessings and so quick to complain? Can anyone name another industry where a person with no particular skills or education can easily walk in and make $40K their first year and $60K the second? I am quite happy to have found this kind of work and only wish I'd started a few years sooner. The company I started with (CR England) gets a lot of complaints and while some of the criticism seems deserved, over all I am only grateful that they took me in with no experience and a spotty job history and in less than a year gave me a $1000/week job.

How to find happiness is arguably the #1 priority of humans. One's vocation is integral to satisfaction with life.

10 x more people browsing the bad companies forum than on the good companies forum?
    Says who?
At any given time, looks like everybody is more or less "spread out" to me.
And after having read this last post, it looks like some of the readers are "spread out" in more ways than one...
But the OP has a point; happiness is truly what you make of it.
Why then, would anybody have the audacity to actually complain when they have to work upwards of 100 hours a week to make anywhere from $600.00-$850.00?
And to be treated like an animal whilst living 24 hours a day in a steel box?
    Clap along everybody!

I'm more inclined to believe we all are fighting seperate battles everyday.
If a driver is happy, then its a good thing. Not everyone views the cup through
    the same rose colored glasses.
There are different variables, pay, equipment, dispatch, family life, health, the list
is long. Some unrealistic expectations do arise, but there MAY be a few bottom
feeders taking advantage of drivers that are uninformed.
Its not about being negative. Its more about being treated with respect.
Don't feed me a turd, and tell me its cake.
Thats all any driver expects,or this section wouldn't be here.

Lonesome and Surfer Joe Thank this.

And failed home time requests. I spent Xmas in San Antonio in a swift steel box in a lowes parking lot and had a sausage mcmuffin as a celebratory meal

I personally don't care if anyone in the office knows my name or treats me like family, blah blah blah. Pay me, get me miles, get me home when i ask. I'm out here to pay for my family to live good, not to find family in an office.

Trucking is what I made of it. I do 3 weeks out and 4 days off, doesn't bother me one bit.

Objectively speaking, it's the first topic at the top of this forum. Encouraged to be discouraged? Bring it on, with your BAD self.

Although, if you'd like to account for what's most interesting, the question is which subforums have the highest post counts? This isn't it.
