So, about 2 months I decided to finally pursue my dream and become a truck driver. I decided to go with CRST, since they have 8 months contract and I need experience anyway. I've heard all the horror stories, but honestly i just want to drive for my beginning years. Ok, I fill out my application, letting them know I have a traffic violation and a deer hit. Recruiter says no problem. They send me down to Hawkeye. Honestly I enjoyed it, I would prefer more driving. but you get what you get. After 2 1/2 weeks I am done. It was easy since I have little military experience with semis. They sent me down to Cedar Rapids for Orientation. Cool, ###### motel, but again doesn't matter, ive been in worse. I finish my orientation, got my license. Right before I had to go on the road, they present me with papers, that I have a speeding ticket back in 2012. So, I did not get hired. So, it took them 2 months tofind out that I have a speedingticket.Whcih Iput in the ####### application. So, my question is it wasnt my fault, can they still not let me get hired by other companies? How am I supposed to pay them for schooling if I dont have a job?

Most likely your "rejection" by them was due to their insurance carrier. Apply for jobs. You can request a copy of your "DAC" to see if/what they placed on it. Other than that, good luck and slow down!

I'm surprised they'd nitpick that given how most of their drivers drive. :p

You know what, under the circumstances I wouldn't pay anything on the school. You should call CRST and talk to them preferably the one that didn't hire you. They may put this on your DAC.CRST is the one that messed up so they need to be the one to make it right otherwise seek legal action.I know I would in a heart beat.

I know crst said I had to get 6 months driving with class b and no incidences before they would accept me. I know my friend had 3 incidences and they accepted him when no one else would. O well.. I guess they tightening up.

Let us know how it works out with Werner. I'm graduating December 18 and they're one of the 4 companies I've narrowed it down to consider. The others are Roehl, Schneider, and Knight. I've not completely written off CRST, but will only consider them if I get a guarantee (preferably written) that I can get into their 20/10 option from my location.

    Good of luck with Werner.
