I went to orientation.was there for a week.I was retired for almost 9 yrs.Got stuck with a refresher student to train. Was not told they are mostly a northeast operating co.I told them that is somewhere I don't go.Have 23 yrs.experience payed my due to the northeast coast.I told them I was a log hauler.2-3 months out a week at home.Kept getting short loads in the mean time trying to teach a student the ropes. After numerous argument over the qualcom and many un-return phone calls after 3 weeks of this I told them to shove their company and trucks.Undoubtily the worst company I ever had the privilege working for. They are all liars there.and will not try to help you if you have a problem, and don't even try to call them they will not answer or return your call.

When you go to work for a crap company expect to get crapped on! Or....you can save yourself the trouble and do a little research!
mje Thanks this. -
Why not drive for a company with regional so you don't have to do the Northeast thing.
South East Carriers doesn't do Northeast, but does lots of West Coast turns.mje Thanks this. -
Sounds like a bad fit, not necessarily a bad company.

mje, Lonesome and stevep1977 Thank this.

I'm sorry. So you "did your time in the northeast" years back. Why does Western Express need to honor your "demands" not to run northeast? What's wrong with the northeast anyway? Anymore, I'd rather run into Mass then into Georgia. The 23 years experience, ending 9 years ago will not get you much respect or appreciation these days.
There's plenty of good drivers in the market, and there's plenty of mediocre drivers in the market, and plenty of drivers coming up that may make a good hand, and today, carriers don't care which group they hire from.mje and joseph1135 Thank this. -

You stopped driving for 9 years, and then you start at Western Express, which is a garbage company, but that's besides the point. You "paid your dues" by running the northeast?? Trucking means YOU GO WHERE THE FREIGHT GOES. You're no different than anyone else. Buy your own truck and then decide where you won't run and to top it off you decided to give them attitude and be insubordinate. No wonder why you got only short loads. Your attitude will get you far.mje, peterd, Gearjammin' Penguin and 3 others Thank this. -
Has there been a GOOD Western Express post ever?
mje, JRTBud87 and ramblingman Thank this. -
