It's not like drivers that have them actually want them. Do I make a paragraph rant about how much I hate when a driver leaves a gallon jug of pee in the parking spot? No because I know that some people are just helpless, just like with the beeper. Lol
pattyj Thanks this. -
Yes safety first, I blow my horn every foot when backing to let everyone know there is equipment moving, I also blow my horn when leaving the fuel island or when going through a pull through spot I blow it. Never can be to careful.

If you are going to complain about the Melton drivers. my issue is their trailers. The spread is fixed so far ahead of the rear of the trailer, for California issues, that the trailer has a mean tailswing so when they pull out of a crowded truckstop, the rear of the trailer can swing over and hit the truck parked next to them. Seen it happen at the Pilot in San Diego. Beware......

I just wish they would stop calling my phone with driving opportunities. I have replied to emails and calls telling them I'm an O/O with a dry van and have never been the least bit interested in driving for them.

As a melton driver myself, i can say as flatbed drivers we go to certain companies or job sites that requires a back up alarm. If you think meltons beeping alarm wakes you up i do know for a fact you never been to a mexican bordering state because those mexican trucks use car alarms for a back up beeper and the hoot and hollar.. so the little beep beep noise is nothing
If your sleep apnea causes you to not get a full nights of deep sleep you have bigger problems then a back up beeper on the back of my rig! -

You honk your horn that much, one day you'll hit something because both hands wasn't on the wheel while backing.Seriously you honk the horn that much?Keep it up and you're going to need to get honker fluid, lol. One time along with your flashers if sufficient enough.
