I tell all drivers to "Do Your Research" on the companies you are choosing, and it's nice to see tools such as forums to assist your decision making. However, doing your research isn't always enough.
I enlisted in the IC/LP program with JBHunt in January of 1996. Drove 30 days OTR and was ready to hand them the contract back. They begged me to stay, put me on a Dedicated fleet, and all was great for a year. I made great cash, home 3 days a week, and couldn't have been happier. Then I decided to "Pay Off The Truck" in cash early. JBHunt wasn't thrilled about this...never been done on a 3 year Lease program. So they started jacking me on my Dedicated runs, and I went from 2900 miles a week to 1100 overnight.
As long as you are under their thumb...you're their friend. Otherwise, like I later found out...you don't mean crap to them but a number on a truck.
I'm in the process of initiating a "Class Action" suit against the company. We have 2 more briefs to submit to FMCSR and D.O.T. before we bring the hammer down on them. It's gonna be a "Sweet" slap in the face long overdue, and will hopefully set some standards throughout the industry.
If you're an IC/LP driver with JBHunt right now...Better check with Freightliner on your supposed "3 year/350,000 mile warranty. It's "BOGUS"! and in order to utilize any existing warranty on your truck, which is actually 2 years/ 200,000 miles, you will have to pay a "Transfer Fee" of $500.00 to Detroit Diesel.
Yes, this is part of the class action suit. We have recorded documentation of the "Entire Orientation" stating trucks come with 3 year/350,000 mile powertrain P3 coverage.
But the real issue we are pressing is we finally nailed a dispatcher and safety manager on two phone messages that ask a driver work over their alloted 14 hours and mark it on line 2.
Funny when you're on Dedicated how all those stops they throw on ya are so systematically logged as "Sleeper" birth.
The outcome will be interesting because we are requiring JBHunt to compensate for all the hours in sleeper birth logged as breaks, when drivers were actually on trailers unloading product for JCPenney and Procter and Gamble.

Bottom line...."Run from these clowns". They will do anything to get you in a truck. That's where they make the money...training and turnover.:biggrin_25515:

A driver may continue to work after the 14th consecutive hour, provided the work does not include driving.

If you are working, you can never log line 2. This is the sleeper berth and to be requested to do this is illegal.

HEY. As a JB recruiter myself, I can tell you now that the discrepancy in what you've posted and what they posted means they are LYING.

You posted that Lease Purchase in 1996. June 1996.

    The starter posts January 1996.

In our history, we started Lease Purchase in 2002.

I Detect Lying in all places of this thread. Schneider Recruiter much?

Its easy to tell when recruiters are lying. Same way you can tell when politicians and lawyers are lying.

Lol, cracks me up how someone will spend so much time be analytical of others rather than focusing on their own weakness and analyzing themselves.

Yup, it was a Typo..Wanna see a copy of my contract? January of 2006, my bad.

No, I'm not a recruiter, I'm an O/O and you can look up my D.O.T. Authority under AlohaWolf Transport LLC. Then you can Kiss MY ARSE! For being such an analytical retard who obviously has no life but to sit in chair being jealous over those of us who do.

I have responsibilities more important than following up on #### chat from children. Thought I might find some serious driving professionals in here, obviously I went to the wrong forum.

    My BAD again.

Don't take off, Aloha. Some of us here appreciate your heads up on JB JobHunt. I have never worked for JBH, but I know I would never want to, thanks to testimonies such as yours. Thanks again for the info. It does help.
