I use to get really mad when I first started trucking blaming the company I worked for about everything. Soon I realized every trucker deals with bad traffic, bad weather, cancelled good loads, Pisa poor shippers and receivers, and some days where you want to just tell DOT where to stick these stupid HOS rules. That's the trucker lifestyle. You can do a lot worse than Schneider. Are they perfect....no is there IT department still in the 90's u bet is the bewildering useless 12 messages about random carp on the other side of the nation annoying...,Ya dang right it is. But I enjoy working here most days....others I just don't enjoy working period.

Very odd post to say the least. And to think I'm looking to go with Schneider as a team driver.

CRoberts...research the companies before you commit. There are a lot of good companies and a ton of bad companies.

I remember when I was going to school to be a trucker. Somebody told me that, as a newbie, I should pick a truck company COLOR (orange, blue, black/white, whatever) and ride it out. I picked Werner blue, went on to Conway blue/white, and now attempting to own a truck under blue/green/white.

This business has a high turn over rate because people think it's just a vacation on wheels. It's not and never has been. When you're on that truck, you're at work, even when you're not making money. It's what irritates many people. If I work at Microsoft as an office worker, I don't have to sleep in my cubicle. I love this job because I love this job. I can't even really explain it. I've been doing it three years plus and I can't imagine doing anything else.

I started in Sept 2014, in the Bulk side of Schneider, so far everything is as I was told it would be, I was a machinist for 30yrs, then managed a drug and alcohol treatment house for 8yrs and now this driving for Schneider, its all how you look at it and apply yourself, this is really an easy job if you plan properly and don't let things(traffic, people in cars, warehouse workers or ...) get to you! Smile be Happy! I will save and buy a good used truck soon or do a lease to make better $$$! Planning is KEY to SUCCESS! Some people only whine and never figure out how to improve their life!

Get moving and get out of that warehouse. You can make a lot more than $36K as a trucker if you have all the endorsements, TWIC, passport.

Hell, with no additional endorsements, no twic, no passport you still can make $45-50k as a van truckload driver after a year or two if you work hard.

Ok, call me OCD, call me a weirdo, but I am still trying to find the junction of I-70 and I-85 on my map. Obviously the original poster failed the road test and got canned or something, cause the B.S. they spew is just...overflowing.
