After 23 yrs of trucking in 3 different countries I just spent the worst 6 mths of trucking in my life trying to make the best of a job cause it got me home more. However after seeing how most of these Pine straw companies operate, I've warned all my friends and family members that if you see a truck or trailer that says pine straw, get away from it. Trailers and trucks are junk, trailers sit more then they roll. Blew a tire, a week on there trailers. 11/14 a tire guy said my recap carcass had stamp from 2007. There Scab companies that are slave drivers trying to make you into a driver slave. They run your arse off 1 week then leave ya sit the next saying they cant find freight BS(Atlanta, Hendersonville, Fayetteville no freight ??) the dispatchers get yelled at if theres trucks sitting at yard so if they dont have any straw orders they dont want ya coming back till they do . Lost load after load cause shipper refused to load junky trailers holes in floors and roofs. Theres a good ol boy mentality at most. They take care of a few old drivers while all there "newbies" get the scraps. Gonna cut up the CDL after this one. The whole industry is suppressed, oppressed and depressed to prevent inflation in a nation that doesn't deserve the devotion, dedication and respect of its commercial driver. They use to call truckers the back bone of this country, now we are the underbelly. Chute rooster OUT.

Ok I see you are a Trucker of 23 years. Did you wake up in one of the trucks after being Shanghai By pirates. You never looked at any of the trucks you might be driving or trailers to be pulled. If the trailers looked like junk, well junk they might be. Never asked any questions about the company or questions asked directly to the company. And as far as good old boy system. It is called seniority old drivers that have been employed longer get better runs. New hires get what is left. This works in most any business. Sorry but after 23 years you should know or have known about how things work.

Wonder how much a truckload of pine straw costs? Yeh....that's what I was thinking...next to nothing. Heck it cost nothing to make.

Most don't even have DOT numbers on them, most just put their phone numbers on them, can't figure out why the DOT isn't having a field day with these clowns, but then again, there might not be enough pens and paper to write up all of the violations.
