An unfortunate truth : We get dinged for stupid stuff like this for a simple reason...... in this case his dock bump triggered an event well that event has to be documented and addressed in the bigger picture.......
Goes like this: One truck in the fleet has a horrific accident...people die and of course here comes the litigation, the carriers history will be put on display through discovery from the plaintiff including this bump event. If the plaintiff can show a pattern of ignoring little things then he can say the inattention led up to bigger things like the wreck.
Same applies to maintenance, logs, training and so on. It's all about the size of the check.

It was 21 years ago this week I started my steering wheel holder career with Millis.....if I only knew then what I know now.
I look back at all the crap Jay pulled on me because I was new and didn't know any better...
Only good part was my trainer was an old school guy who taught me how to run and what it takes to make money..Lonesome and WisconsinF150 Thank this. -
I agree, its amazing how much money they will spend to find reasons to keep from paying a driver what he or she is worth.
WisconsinF150 Thanks this. -

Millis keeps claiming I'm running stop signs everytime I see one.
Problem is, for the puter to realize you stopped, you have to sit at the stop sign for 5 seconds for the system to realize you stopped.

Just wondering, How long have you had your CDL and is Millis your first driving job? Who is sending you those messages, Safety or your dispatcher?
-
-
Most messages at Millis are anonymous. Some are from dispatcher, some are from safety.antonio Thanks this. -
That was just west of Pembroke.
Sad thing is, the woman didn't have enough sense to either move her damaged car out of the left lane, or to abandon the car and stand off the highway.
