The bottom line

The bottom line is, this dude wrecked a truck and it sounds as though he is doin' is best to blame it all on someone else...
The bulk of this just smacks of sour grapes.

Well, it is good to see some replies. Even though some of you do not know the company, and most likely never even seen one of their trucks, are making some good comments.
Alas, the deal about surcharges, is ########, those should not be pulled out b-4 your paid.
About the equipment, all the equipment is bad, trailers, for instance, you can't even adjust the tandems, most of them are locked and the owner ecpects you to use that trailer.( I had one that I could not adjust and it put me well over weight and He expected me to drive that way, it not only wasted my time, but it was a big pain in the ###, I had to go in and move all the freight by hand, bags of sand, to adjust that damn thing.
Another point trying to get the mechanics to do anything is impossible, I now work for a Company, that has good mechnics, they don't want to see you stuck out on the road or get into accidents. There are things that are impossible to catch on a pre-trip, things that just go out when you are driving, most of the time they would only rig it so it would look like it was fixed and it would fall apart on the road. And I'm not going to get into ever little detail about it.
The guy is a thief that's all there is to say, if you never worked for the guy, I suggest that you do, and than come and make the comments.
Have a Great Day, and stay SAFE.

I'm just curious what really DID go wrong. A tire blowing you sometimes can't catch, but most things that would cause an accident you can and are supposed to catch.

I got my start with them in 03 and it was a bit better then than now. thats when Bruce Bjorklund was still there and running a tight shop but since him an his sisters husband kicked him out and ran off experienced dispatchers and have no real mechanics. thats true. and these guys get very little done they dont like there boss and will tell you to get it fixed on the road at his expence.the dispatchers have little to no experience and will treat you like ####. or at least from what I am used to now days , and was used to with there old dispatch nice gals. And everything mentioned in other posts are true and then some.

here is what happened - now that the papers are signed and...the lil thief Sunil lied in court and...what a selfish conniving a hole - anywho, a car drifted into me from the fast lane on a 3 lane road - I applied brakes in traffic and lo and behold the couplning on the spring/axle broke. sending the front tire and axle back under the cab and into the fuel tanks - I was thrown into a wall on 394 and PEnn and the fully loaded trucks momentum simply...crumpled the works for 300 yds or so. my seat belt did nto hold and I was hurt- I did manage to get out but will never drive again - #### that. AFter the accident Sunil the criminal ( the staff was great by the way) never did one damn thing to assist in...anything. this included not paying me, in fact I had cash out of pocket he would not cover for gods sake and...screw it. no time ot proof this boys - just wanted ot get it off my chest.

re: the accident # bjorklund. this coupling was repaired before but never correctly - this is what the mechanic told me - should I have driven it? probably not but I was new and...later

Sounds like a winner company there- just by looking at their SaferStat ratings, I'd have raised eyebrows regarding their fleet and staff...

I Drove For Bjorklund Too

I was surprised to see the thread here. I did a search on Google for Bjorklund Trucking and found this site.

Everything said here is TRUE.

I had nothing but equipment problems, money problems, dispatch problems ect.

Sometimes you can do a good Pre Trip - and things will still break, or fall apart.

I'm not here to comment on that fella's accident. And I'm not here to blame him for anything.

But from what I read that he wrote - I can believe every word of it.

From my own experience - the owner of the company is a liar and a thief.

The trailers were so old, that some companies refused to load them simply because of their age.

The so called "mechanics" were nothing but head light fixers. I spent many an hour on the roadside broken down for one thing or another.

If anyone here thinks we X Bjorklund drivers are full of it - then how about some of you trying to drive for them - and report back what you find.

It's all true what we are saying.

SHUT DOWN, Bjorklund Trucking

This company is is a run down company with dangerous equipment out on our highways. I worked the scum running this company and left due to unsafe tractors and trailers.

DOT should shut this company down before people get killed due to the equipment used. The drivers should refuse to drive dangerous equipment and find a safe company to work for and one that pays fair wages.

Shut this place down NOW

Everyone in the industry here in Minnesota knows all about them. They have been a horror story for years. I don't know how they have any customers anymore. I don't know why the DOT let them run, and I don't know how they keep getting drivers or insurance. I think they are down to about 20-25 trucks, circling the drain.

I have to agree with all of the other posts here. It is a mystery how they are still in business. Its too bad, they used to be a good company years ago.

I left for good in 2007.

They are losing customers left and right. No one wants to do business with Sunil - because he's such a crook and a prick.

Certinteed used to be a BIG contract - but now even THEY want little to do with Bjorklund Trucking.

Does anyone remember DKH in Shakopee? Bjorklund Trucking is like DKH in that the DOT tried for YEARS to shut down DKH. Finally, when Don Hanus died, so did DKH.

I worked for DKH when Don Hanus died - I'd show up to the shop in the morning and the whole lot was FULL of State Troopers and DOT guys.

The same for Bjorklund Trucking. People have tried for YEARS to shut Bjorklund Trucking down - but they still are rolling.

Bjorklund Trucking will hire ANYONE to drive. Even drivers with DWI's that aren't suppose to drive. Sunil would "hide them" in the paperwork and insurance. Thats part of why they are still in operation. Because they will take any warm body and put it in a truck.

Bjorklund Trucking should be shut down for all the dangerous equipment they still run. They have trailers that have had the Kingpin plate break right off - and then they welded it right back on thinking thats a good idea.

Thats the kind of dangerous #### they do over there.
