Angry Bjorklund Trucking, Inc. Buffalo, Mn

Bjorklund Trucking, Inc. Let's see, what can I say about this low wage, low maintenance, poor equipment, poor management, 25% of loads, which the President deducts all kinds of little charges like fuel surcharges, takes half of layover pay, takes half of extra pickups from you, deducts lumpers fees, the Presidents deducts all this from the gross and than pays you 25% of the net, not the gross, which by the way if you read the contract, it does state that you get paid 25% of the gross, not the net. He promises $800 to $900 a week, but I see only about $400 a week for running 2500-3000 miles a week, which comes out to about .16 to .133 cents a mile. no benifits, also when you do fuel up at night, beware that you may have to sit and wait for them to show up at the office in the morning to get a com check to pay for the fuel because the com data or esf cards come up invalid all the time, hence most of the time you are late for pickups or deliveries. This companies has a high turn over rate.
All I can say is beware of this company, DO NOT WORK FOR THEM.

Fuel Surcharge

I have talked to several drivers over the last few weeks, from Minnesota to Florida, to the East Coast.
And as I expected I received many different responses, Some do and some don't.
This Company takes all the cuts out, lumper fees, etc.

shut down bjorklund

I was in a trucking accident in early suimmer with a company called BJorklund in Buffalo Minnesota. THe owner/president has made my life hell from the get go following this. He needs to held accountable and the his equipment taken off hte road ASAP. He has been non-compliant and submitted false info to numerous people/companies. I am not yet being blamed for this accident and should not but, stranger things have happened and on the other side of the coin - the true side - I was not only hurt and nearly killed but the owner and his insurance company whores are doing everlything they can to screw me over. NOt this time folks. The truck and its shoddy repair work are to blame and go figure - he takes home more money and I / We suffer. If anyoene has any experience with this company and or something similar please jump in. thanks, the berserker 50 yrs old and one accident - luckily no one else was hurt - pure luck.

So, what went wrong that you didn't catch on your pre-trip?

Hold on, hold on there...

Let's allow him to produce specifics on this accident first before we go accusing him of anything.

pre-trip miss huh?

I have the hang of this now. What did I miss in pretrip? Lets see...HOw about the 98% of the truck thats not listed in a pre-trip. wHAt kind of a question is that anywho? A fairly naive one for sure. I will tell you this as the court system will not allow me to give anymore detail right now - another joke in this complex unnworking country - a very reputable repair shop sent me down the road a few days before the accident saying that whhoever is repairing these trucks should be shut down also. Why was I in the truck then - go figure, get home, change trucks, get paid and do not make waves hhhhmmmm. Now how about a real question. I could give you a new truck in perfect condition and...you may well have had the same accident. Does that make the owner of thsi co. not responsible? Of course not because he and his shop were fully aware of the corners they were cutting. Post accident thsil guy did all he could to hide every record of thsi mishap - I did not have to thoug but he did - a bit of a difference btween new and his equipment but.... it still addresees your question.

I wasn't accusing you of missing something in your pretrip. I was curious what kinds of things can go wrong that the pretrip doesn't touch on. Read what I said again, I wasn't trying to be rude.

I will have to agree with all that is said about Bjorklund Trucking!!! He will screw you and your pay. HE lies about the way he pays and percentage. His paychecks are not always good, my bank refused to cash my last paycheck!!!! He doesn't understand the trucking business, he married into the ownership. He runs with rundown dangerous equipment. The truck I used had major transmission problems and they kept sending me to Nevada. The tranny wouldn't shift out of low range when road conditions were wet. Nothing was done to correct the problem. The shop has trouble keeping mechanics and the shop area is questionable. I would advise any and all drivers to think more than twice about driving for this man. In 4 weeks, he ran me empty for over 2,000 miles. He only pays for the load, any empty miles are unpaid. I was brought home to Mpls. from Great Falls, MT empty. His layover pay is low, $62. Any expense reimbursment is paid as other pay, lumped in with regular pay and you are taxed.
ALL DRIVERS< BEWARE OF THIS RUNDOWN COMPANY.

All would benifit from shutting this place down.
