    Yea,I just left SRT,they kept about 10% of the fuel surcharge.I didn't complain because they didn't charge you for a bunch of other stuff, like plates/permits,transflow,refer fuel,or to pull there trailers. And they paid your fuel road taxes.But one thing I noticed,these companies always want you to fuel at there fuel stops.Because they do keep alot of the discount.

    Well said Launcher! Need to keep educating each other and if new drivers

    refuse ro read then its buyer beware. Pretty simple concept in a

    nutshell "keep the general public dumbed down". IMO if O/O still

    drive for them then they are basically saying its ok for you to

    screw me over. Be interesting to see Celadons damage control

    backpeddling.

    There's a sucker born every minute. Read your contracts before signing. Have an attorney explain any parts that you don't understand. My guess is that Celadon adhered to the terms of their contract with the drivers regarding fuel discount pass-through. The drivers agreed to the terms up front, but then ended up with buyer's remorse when they found out that Celadon was keeping some of the discount per the terms.

    I do not understand most people. I work for Celadon but only till Monday after I deliver my load.

    I am not quiting because of a fuel discount not passed on. I read the forum and make mental notes of things I read.

    I believe it was the JCT thread that was talking about the Fuel Book app.
    Celadon gives a 4 cent discount off cash price for fueling at Flying J/Pilot plus they charge $3.50 fee.

    Instead of paying 2.94 for a gallon of diesel at Pilot on I69 in Indiana today I payed 2.35 a gallon at the independent at exit 309b on I69 today. That's .59 a gallon times 125 gallons equals $73.25 I kept in my pocket versus Celadons pocket.

    Of course people think you should sign on with someone and they tell you where the cheapest fuel is with their discount.

    If you can't figure this out then you shouldn't try to run your own truck.

    No One looks out for you except YOU.

    Correction I payed 2.49 because I payed with Comdata which is still .45 cents per gallon or 56.25 in my pocket times 3x per week $150.00 times 48 weeks a year is $7,200.

    Don't be a sheep and follow everyone else.

    It's crazy how these big company's get away with BS like this. And what I find even more crazy is when someone actually lease a truck from them or any other scam company. I don't dissagree with a LP, everyone is so quick to say "go finance your own truck" well, the banks own it. Apples and oranges, it's a never ending ####### contest. There are deals out here that can work, but the driver has to be smarter than the company, and unfourntly... That's not the case.

    Here I am, one of the suckers, driving team for Celadon over 10 years, about 2,100,000 miles safe thsx God, no accidents; ; my truck now 1,420,000 miles with Celadon, and about 700,000 miles my last truck; ; I bought maybe 30-40% of the fuel from Pilot/FlyingJ ; hmm, what a deal,. maybe they gave us 5 cents just to encourage us to buy from Pilot/FlyingJ;

    Celadon is not bad for teams, we made decent $$, but this little chity things makes me puke;
    Greedy blood suckers; time to look for decent company, many smaller companies are passing the fuel discount to OO.

    2,100,000 miles divided by 7 mpg= 300,000 gallons;let's say about 30% I purchased from Pilot FlyingJ; ==> aprox. 100,000 gallons
    now let's say Celadon cashed 0.25$ discount for every gallon over past 11 years; =>>>>>>>>>>>>> aprox. 25,000$ :biggrin_2551:

    I hope they use my hard worked $$ in medical bills;
