I would explain to him that's something that needs to be out there in the open ....im sure he would understand he wouldn't be pulling loads without knowing what loads were paying .....if that don't work out , it's time to find another job because he will only keep cheating you out of miles and you will know that you honestly tried to reason with him about this ,so more than likely you will end up with a better job anyway. :yes2557:

Trip mileage isn't on your pay stub? You could compare that to your odometer mileage per trip and see how bad your getting screwed. If you want to put the effort into tracking such things.

Don't see much good said about this outfit but you get to drive a purty truck though lol

It isn't going to get any better. Start looking for an honest company

Take your GROSS earnings, and divide it by your mileage rate.

Example: You grossed $850.00 and your mileage rate is .38 cents per mile. 850 divided by .38 equals 2,237 miles...that is what he paid you for.

Welcome to the wonderful world of trucking. Some companies have been doing this for so long they actually think it's their god given right to nickel/dime the drivers every way possible. Not saying this is the case in your instance. I'm just saying.
Good suggestion by white dog, but dont forget to subtract any extra pay for layovers, pick up or delivery pay before you start crunching the numbers for the remainder of the pay..which would be the mileage rate.

You clearly have access to a computer so just google the mileage distance on mapquest.
(then subtract 10%pct that is the industry standard for ripping off drivers)
if your pay is less than google minus 10%pct tell him to drive the dam thing himself n walk..

not saying in any way that the pay policy he's complaining about is right in any way but.........

looking back at his previous posts he's had 3 preventables in the last 17 months and in each case he hit another vehicle. his pay prospects certainly aren't going to get better until his driving does. at this point he should probably be glad he's driving anywhere.

    Actually I am.

0 csa points. 0 accidents. 0 tickets. 0 violations. 0 service failures. Nothing but clean inspections. My first 3 years I ran primarily in the northeast as well. The job I have now reflects that record.

Its not that hard to do if you pay attention to what you're doing.
