Hi fellow truckers, just wanted to let everyone know that this company Sandbox Logistics based in Texas and run by 5 brothers with funding from Pinch Companies is the worst.

terrible management, no communication, promises to pay and no pay, promises of work and no work, no maintenance, a lot of talk and no action.

they will promise you everything you want to hear And then they will string you along for months with hopes and ########.

they are currently "operating" in TX, CO and ND.
For local frac sand in a box.

The idea and design is awesome, but that doesn't run itself!

the terminal manager in CO is a drunk and a liar and has no experience with trucking at all! But her will tell you he does, and then he will lie about everything else. His philosophy is to treat us truckers like a bunch of MuShrooms...

keep us in the dark....and feed us ########.

he stays home all day most days in his home, drinking and is rude to drivers when asked any thing or if you go to him with an issue, the response is...I will take care of it..or I will address it.
basically that's to shut you up in the hopes that your issue will just dissappear.

communication is obsolete, they have 2 decent dispatchers, and the rest you will want to strangle!
if you have an issue with a dispatcher and you go to the terminal manager in CO he will side with the dispatcher. He has even fired drivers over the dispatchers word.

if they could fire the CO terminal Manager and get their #### together this would be a great job.

until then, don't be fooled by their empty promises.
its so bad that many drivers have looked into the legal aspects of what they are doing to drivers.
they have different rules for different drivers. Especially female drivers...you don't know a dam thing ladies!

Truly sad...but dont say I diddnt warn you!!
    happy trucking!
    Cat

I truly don't understand how Sandbox could have been this bad for you. I have worked here for about 10 months and have been more than happy with this job. I think Sandbox is a great place to work!!! Very sorry that your experience here in Colorado was bad. Best regards

Sandbox Logistics in Northern Colorado is one to avoid. I've never worked at a company that works so hard to make there drivers miserable. They lie about everything from wages to benefits. I left to keep from going broke. Just talked to a friend who is still there and he said they just cut the wages about 25%. Glad I'm gone.

I never worked for them but I know this much, the absolutely single handily killed the frac sand industry with their low rates.
I can't imagine their drivers are making money.
And you wanna knows who's fault it is they did this???
The drivers who work for them. That's who.
Why would someone go to work for these fools and take less money when they could of applied at a regular sand hauler and got better wages?
I just don't get it, why drivers commit industry sabotage...

Anybody who works for them and is going broke deserves it for going there in the first place. You sound like you wised up and left while you could.

Sorry to sound harsh and its nothing personal...and not meant to attack you directly. I'm just making a general statement.
These guys are the super swift of the oil fields.

Total uncaring ########! The drivers who built this company are being fired for the slightest reason. They are EVIL period. Stay away from these aholes for your own good. I'm a night manager, and they are screwing me too.

    ND Oil Fields

My exp wasn't as bad. That said I wasn't a company driver. I do have an MSA with them in ND and have hauled a few loads here and there to keep my drivers and I busy. It doesn't pay the best, but it's stupid simple and easy. On and off location in 11 minutes usually. It completely eliminates the health hazards of unloading with blown pneumatics. Way faster, more efficient. Frac running or not, drop your loaded box, take an empty one and go. No need for highly exp drivers with special oil field training. Great for a beginner. Up here they pay by loaded mile. There company drivers tell me they are paid that way also.

They do have some funny ways about doing things that don't always make sense to me but the dispatchers were dealing with are in Texas so maybe that explains it, idk.

In my opinion, I see this deal putting the pneumatic sand cans out of business IF they can keep the boxes moving. To do that they will have to start paying better. Company drivers and contractors.

I was there about 6 months, wasnt too bad a job, i liked it but...... the work was very inconsistent but you still have to work the full 12 hour shift and hope to get at least one load in. Average pay per load was 80-85.00 . My average was about 2 1/2 loads a night. but there were a lot of nights you'd be lucky to get 1 load in. When the wells are running good you can make 6-8 loads in a night but those kinda times were rare. You might have 2 good nights like that and then the next couple weeks nada :(
The problem is their contract with Liberty oil field services cause they take over abandoned Halliburton wells that they had problems cracking therefore the well that we would be working is down all the time. The bad with that is the company does not pay any wait time $$$ at all ! You dont get paid squat, you may sit at the well 8-10 hours and you get nothing, if youre lucky you may be able to get unloaded and only make like about 42.50 for the whole day for a partial "split" load. So ya get no wait time pay. They also slip seat between another shift driver, most of em are dirty pigs and dont keep truck clean.
Also, there is no such thing as seniority, there. You can be there and be a senior driver and theyll hire a new driver and with in 2 weeks theyll be made a lead driver. So if yer not a brown noser you wont advance with this comp. .
They do have a small Halliburton contract too which isnt too bad except but it seems to be wells that dont run smoothly and are down alot. Their load facility is awesome though and the best load place ive ever delt with in the years of haulin fracking sand ive worked.
So there it is in a nut shell, was a good job but just not enough consistent work to make it worthwhile, they say 60-85,000 a year but i only averaged 37,000 . That sucks as a oil field job .

Worked at their Colorado facility, fyi .
