Supposedly one of the top grossing trucking companies in the US pays it's drivers 26cpm out of school? raise to 28cpm after SIX MONTHS! Let's you train people with 3 months exp. Trainers are not held accountable for their actions.. they actually try to pay their teams 32 cpm split. Thats 16 cents a driver all miles?? Average trip for a solo driver 500 miles.

You can get 3k miles a week here easy and bank 500$ a week! Werner is the McDonald's of trucking the drivers care about as much as the guy flipping your burger. The brightside of Werner is there are a lot of good accounts that can get you plenty of hometime if you're a hometime baby. Target account you can make 50k a year you'll never get on it though. Training? 50k a year.Only drive for Werner if you're gonna train otherwise you'll starve.

Equipment: this is all luck of the draw you can get a 2015 automatic Freightliner from a 2011 t660 with no curtains LOL called my 3rd truck the rattler it was not quiet. Do not let them sucker you into recovering a truck it's not worth the 150$ my first truck was put out of service by the dot the former driver fired for smoking pot I found pot seeds in the ashtray.

Grossed about 26,000 my first year.. did everything from dedicated accounts solo driving team driving to training.. only made money training.. Someone with as little experiences as me has no business training another driver..

@Ditch Dr. I would be embarrassed to admit I only made 1200 a week when "runnin hard" with 3 years exp. I made that at Werner after 6 months exp

 

They'll let you sit for a full day I've sat for 3 days straight once think my dispatcher was mad at me had a dispute with my team driver we broke up and burned the load in the process the man couldn't be civil and part ways amicably.

 

Trucking is like the military. If you're smart like me and have no huge bills you can save almost everything you make I save 60% of every dollar I make how many local jobs can you do this with? Rent.. Car payments, insurance.. one does not simply get ahead with a local job.THAT WHY I DO IT DITCH THE JOB SUCKS PLEASE STOP PRAISING TRUCKING LIKE IT'S THE JOB OF THE YEAR I DO IT FOR THE MONEY. Truckers are like wealthy hobos.
