Do not work for LCL Transport Liquid Bulk Carriers in Elizabethtown Pa / Green Bay Wisconsin. This company is a driver mill that pumps Pennsylvania Craigslist trucker ads with driver ads that say "CDL A drivers - now hiring" - "hiring drivers with at least 2 years OTR experience", and then uses these new hire drivers for 2 - 4 weeks in their "training program" for their bulk-tanker OTR operations, paying them a "training wage". They run these new hire drivers in a team truck with their trainer for 2 - 4 weeks pulling OTR tanker loads, 18-20 hours a day, and then at the end of the "training period" they fire all of these new hire drivers - replacing them with a fresh batch of Craigslist "CDL A OTR - Now Hiring" drivers every 4 weeks for their next "training class". DRIVERS BEWARE!! THIS COMPANY IS RUNNING A SCAM OPERATION. They fire the entire class of new-hire drivers after their "training class" is over and then do a wash/rinse/repeat operation every 2 - 4 weeks with a new "training class" from their Craigslist ads and internet ads. DRIVERS BEWARE!!
Lcl transport, elizabethtown pa. Drivers beware!!

I read stuff like this and I just don't know what to think. Second post, how can I trust this to be an honest evaluation? LCL has a long history, and is a family run company. I remember their trucks running WI with reefer as well as tanker in the 60's and 70's. Can anyone backup the post above?

I worked for them for the month of Feb. I didn't work 18-20 hours a day with my trainer, or run teams with him! I left on my own free will after 3 days solo. The whole OTR thing wore me down, irregular hours, no sleep, hardly eating! Plus drove through a nasty snow/ice storm going from Mass to Jersey! I was done, stick a fork in me. They had nice new trucks, and getting new ones as we speak! Everyone I met, or worked with were nice and helpful, and I live in NY! LOL So most be on a case by case basis!?

I worked for LCL from the Lafayette, Indiana terminal many years ago. This was a union terminal and has long since disappeared. The company treated me very well. My problems were with the union that sold out the drivers.
I made decent income with LCL.
I understand that there union is gone, so might be a better place to work now.
