Sheesh, just Apple products alone in our truck come out to well over $3000... We have 2 MacBooks aboard worth about $1500 each, an iPad Air 2 that was $900 at Christmas, an iPod (to replace the huge CD wallet, although that's still here too) a new iPhone 6, iPhone 5 and iPhone 4s... We've also upgraded to a Cobra BT CB radio and replaced my older Rand McNally with a new one in the last few months.

I'd be seriously ticked if the company lent out our truck and stuff was missing (they don't slip seat, thankfully) or if they fired us and didn't give us a chance to collect our stuff. I could prove theft above $5000 just with the items named.

It doesn't seem far fetched to me, and we don't even have some of the flat screens and sound systems that many drivers put in their truck.

I'd take that job for double that. But I'm making what they're offering on half as many axles.

It's an open deck job. If the securement was his, $3000 gets spent really fast. I have over $1000 in just binders.

Okay, now the 3000 bucks in personal property makes sense. You have room in the cab for people? :biggrin_2559:

You have to supply your own tie down gear? Our company supplies everything including gloves.

I could see supplying your own gear at times. I bought CHEAP durabilit ratchet binders if a company supplied those I'd buy my own binders to avoid the heapache just saying. then again I don't like spending 20 minutes just trying to get a binder to work.

I'm going through almost the exact same thing with a company called precise Point LLC, I was robbed of my final paycheck of $1,500, and really the only thing I can legally do is try to take them to small claims court

That's not hard to do if he had his own CB, truckers GPS, laptop, clothes aren't cheap, tools are not cheap if he had any on the truck, $3000 is almost the norm for alot of drivers.... But after my current wage theft I'm going to travel as lightly as I can from here on out, you never know when a company is going to get mad and kick you out of the truck

    REO6205 Thanks this.
