I can see it being a worry if you're hauling urban trash long distance like drivers around NYC and Philly do, but a true dirt dumper?

Set me straight here.
I gather that this T.E.A.M. Trucking is a contract carrier that uses dump trucks. There are several of those around here.

The trucking company has a contract with a quarry, to use one example, and they haul the material to the quarry's customers. Those customers may be concrete companies, that get their sand hauled in on dump trucks, stores that sell stone, or construction companies that need stone, crusher run, or whatever delivered to their jobsites.

This kind of work is often paid by percentage.

Intrastate delivery?

Are these runs intrastate-only? If so, a log wouldn't be needed, and I assume a driver doing them wouldn't get paid per-mile. He'd get paid per hour or a flat salary. Yanking a quarry load to a customer means waiting to dump and then dead-heading back to the hole in the ground. Such a run shouldn't be a long one. It wouldn't even be considered regional.

What kind of rig would one be driving? Autocar? Euclid?

Yeah I drive a Swift truck
And that means one thing
It means she's slow
It's a typical company truck
It's just all show and no go

I'm gettin' passed by Yella
And even Overnite
I'm gettin' passed by ever' body in sight
46 days on the road
And I'm not gettin' home tonight

No, my hometown's nowhere in sight
And if you think I'm pissed off
You're right
46 days on the road
And I'm not gettin' home tonight

Love pissing off those trucking company insiders.

So to show you he is the biggest lier I have ever seen.I knew the check had not been mailed instead as usual he lied again.Checks are never ready before 2 oclock in afernoon..So I left and called police which in turn went to them and retrieved my check.remember I told you P.W. said they mailed it that morning.Just a fat lie as usealwhich he is the best at. They will tell you anything they can to get you to work there and then starve you like many others before me.They lie lie lie. They run drivers over the 70 hour rule. And they tried to get me to drive a truck knowing that the steering locks up when turning to the left.Saftey is not there top priority. So if you go to them to work beaware this company gets a tolite bowl rating .I can not say anything good about them stay away PHil.This is not
a Team you want to work for. They even send trucks out of state with illegal license plates .I know I got the ticket. Phil B
Sounds like another Mokan Distribution trucking company. Safety is not their concern either

That's why we need unions strong in the trucking industry again. These big companies need to be organized, FedX Freight, Old Dominion, Saia, Central, Ups's Overnite Freight all these companies that do terminal to terminal freight hauling. Unions have a place in this industry.
