Alek's Trucking, Bath, PA. I've had the misfortune of having to deal with their drivers at some of the places I go. So I decided to look them up. Wow

    Unsafe Driving: 95%

    HOS Compliance: 82%

Vehicle Maintenance: 0% but in the bad category for not drug testing drivers

    Controlled Substances and Alcohol: 80%

    Driver Fitness: 93%

Some of their violations include: Non English speaking driver, no license, no medical card, driving on a suspended CDL, prohibited placarding, improper transportation of a class 2 hazmat, no placards, cell phone, no logs, and the list just goes on and on and on. This is a pretty new company and they have serious violations in EVERY CATEGORY. Instead of the FMCSA trying to get speed limiters, why aren't they acting on companies like this one?

In case you think I'm messing with you, here's their carrier overview.

A few of those are probably from the same inspection. Like if you do not have a current med card it means you will not have a CDL, you will not have any endorsements, and it is suspended. So it would take a breakdown of the number of inspections and other info to really know how bad it is. Also, small company's are not inspected as often, since they do not have as many trucks. So even being bad on one or two inspections will put you thru the roof. I will check in a moment lol, posted before looking. But that is in general how small fleets are hurt easy by this method.

Yea, looking thru it many were that way. But they are larger than I guessed they would be. Looks almost like a port company. But they got hanged on some of those inspections. Getting them for 3 violations relating to ABS on a few. And getting them for all licence ones when med cards were bad. Not a company I would work for is all I can say.

You know it's a fly by night "chameleon carrier" when they have a piece of cardboard duct taped to the door with a brand new DOT number on it.
