I would like to take the union option, but I have a felony conviction from 1994, and the union is so weak now that I do not qualify for a position. I believe that someday this will change as felonies are often misclassified and misleading. For instance we have many reps in our political process who are convicted felons...

Thx 4 the info. That does not really surprise me. We are losing all of our freedoms right and left. What is it gonna take for you to open your eyes? I am talking to all of you!!!

I am back on the road again, I start next week with a local company. I am driving for H and O in Campbellsville,Ky. I will be in a KW. I am excited. I am happy to be on the road again...

Just a quick update... I talked with a USF/Holland driver, and found out that since Yellow took over, that this is a standard practice. He feels that DHL is putting pressure on YRC to get rid of employees that favor the Teamsters. Their goal is to either fire or weed out employees, so that in a few years time there will be no unions at YRC. Competition is forcing American drivers to accept less in order to be competitive in a global economy.

well, I have bad news again. I was told by the dept of labor that I could put in a claim for unpaid miles. I filed my claim, but as long as usf told me that hh mover miles was how I was going to be paid, and I agreed to this, then that is the way it goes. Best thing a driver can do is take time to carefully search for what makes them happy. I took 6 weeks after usf fired me to search several companies and finally found a local carrier that had what I wanted. I have been there for a month, and this company has fulfilled every thing that I was promised. I am in a 387 Pete, run from Louisville to Chicago, and am home on the weekends. Good luck to all of you still searching. Listen to all of the older drivers out here, and they will help you to find what you need...

thanks brother, I appreciate that! Life is full of obstacles, it is how you overcome those obstacles that determines who you are...

I hope all of you had a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! I feel blessed to not be with USF anymore, I talk to some of their drivers on occasion, and it is business as usual at USF. I believe that since Glen Moore is non-union and has no representation, that this is why their drivers are treated bad.

I see Glen Moore has flooded the airways looking for drivers. There is a reason for this: they treat their drivers very badly, and the drivers move on to greener pastures. If you like hanging out in truckstops, and being lied to, then Glen Moore is where you need to work, if you want to be treated like a valuable member of a team, then you need to keep looking...
