Thing is, if you have any balls, they get rid of you quick This is a VERY generalized statment. digital mage. I Have gone head to head with my bosses several times in the trucking world and in other lines of employment. I have never been fired or written up for beeing honest about how i feel or what I think. As for other posters that are fearful of posting what they feel about the company they work for. I find that as long as you say how you feel in a respectful way you most likely wont have a problem. I live by a rule. If I wont say it in front of the person or persons that I aqm wanting to complain about then I will not say it to anyone else either. that principal has stood me well thru my life. MOST companys understand and know they will not please or come close to making 50% of their employes happy. If you have that many problems with the company then either get some balls and go talk to the boss or HR or whom ever you need to to get the problem resolved. No one can fix what they don't know about. You can also do what I did, I started with a company gave them my very best for three months if after that time I felt we weren't a fit I moved on. Two years ago I went thru 4 companys till I found one that I fit with. I give my employer an honest days work for an honest days pay. The pay I AGREED to when I started. I don't get on a public foum and whine that I don't get payed enough or get enough time off or my truck is a pile. It is my fault if i don't like where I work or what I drive not the companys I work for I took the job and agreed to the facts of said job. Go up and set yourself up to succeede by doing your best where you are at or move on there are others that will fill that seat and be happy to do so.

I totally agree with your remark, Drifter. Too much whining, not enough honesty. In my thought, you should not say anything you're not comfortable with, anything you're not completely ready to stand behind. Good one.

Freedom of speech " if " you choose to live with the sword of Damocles' hanging over your head. The " economy " makes the work place an employers market. PC is destroying the principles the Founders laid as the foundation for " this great experiment in democracy". I have had my private , home computer hacked into by my employer, A public sector entity with an IT department the CIA would be envious of. Anywhere you go it is A distinct probability your actions are being observed and recorded; sound included. I , like other independent thinkers posting here , speak the truth , question what I consider an affront to my human dignity, self esteem , and always in A rational and calm manner. Chief Joseph , Nez Perce leader and master strategist ( The Trail of Tears ) opined : It takes very few words to speak the truth ". Then , as now , no good deed goes unpunished , and his valor , honesty and courageous nature were ultimately rewarded with treachery delivered compliments of our government. All it takes for evil men to prevail is for good men to look the other way. So , speak your truth and treasure your honor , but realize that you stand alone. We have met the enemy and he is us. The government we have , the " suits " we have elected to represent our interests are our chosen ones . C.S. Lewis said : We make men without chests and expect of them virtue and enterprise;we scoff at honor and are shocked to find traitors in our midst; we castrate , and then bid the geldings to go forth and be fruitful. History 101 for employers includes Napoleon , " Divide and conquer"... along with the Chinese philosophy of war ; " Kill one , frighten 10,000 . So many amongst us have lost the will to fight , take risks , " man up " as they say. Observe the children playing . Knee and elbow pads , " mushrooms " on their heads , but mostly just sitting at A computer, living vicariously through an animated warrior. We are so far along in the process of feminization , but it continues along unnoticed. I just wonder ? Do boys even enjoy the recreational value of fist fights ?anymore ?

Yeah, I agree about venting to a boss or manager. You can tell your boss what's troubling you without loosing your cool; and a quiet mouth won't get fed.

Ahem as in gloves, we did this a bit, not in the winter so much cause hockey was rough enough.
What he might be saying is, are boys allowed to be boys? None of that real older time thing with a
fist fight or two to settle up, uh uh

I don't see the value of a fist fight, I was always involved in sports Football, Basketball, Track through high school and college. I never had the urge to fight someone. I don't see how that is boys being boys.

    Attention, all company drivers...

Be forewarned, as I have info that USA Truck does read what is posted here. I'm sure many companies are aware of this site and do read things here, but I have received a PM from a concerned member stating that USA Truck is in fact aware of his particular postings here.

If you do intend to post negative here about USA Truck, or any other company, it is important that you do not post any information publicly that could be used to identify you, such as your name, personal e-mail, truck number, or anything.

If your identity has been compromised, we can change it. But please be careful when wording your postings so nothing comes back to haunt you to begin with.

OMG.... why would you REALLY care if they read this stuff? That tells me they have wayyyyyyyyyyyy too much time on their hands if they are reading these forums.
