Ummm, CSA 2010 is on the way!!!!! Companys, NO liability, drivers, 100% liability! It's NOT safety in question, it's who to throw under the bus!!!!! EORB's, Cab recorders, Cab cameras, CPAC machines, mandatory retirement at 65, it's ALL on the way folks. If I had been a lawyer, Dr, Politician for all the years I have spent, won't say given, in/to this industry I'd have to hire someone to spend my money!!!!!

The only TAZZ I knew drove for CXI back in the 90's. He LOVED BIG women. He was 5'3" and had to run around in the shower to get wet, well that is, when he showered!

I never liked to run with TAZZ as he would tell you on the CB "man check out this hottie in the 4 coming up" and when you looked well lets just say you might want to throw bleach in your eyes! That driver NEVER had good taste in women!

When the Pilot opened out in Hebron,OH he fell head over heels for the manager of the DQ there!

Now TAZZ was married to a 5x5 girl and had kids with her but that didn't stop him! He got the manager pregnant and then about a year later his wife found out about her and somehow TAZZ died! Apparently from a stress related heart attack. Go figure!

UNbelievable!! .10 cpm. Out of desperation comes out more desperation. Man, I know we all a job but working for cheap.. cheap.. cheap labor. That's a whole other story. This is not the 1860's.. Slavery ended many.. many.. many years ago. Anyone who let's themselves work for .10 cpm. I just can't feel sorry for them. I know you have your reasons and all. But it's totally inexcusable.

Don't let these OTR's take you for a fool. You're worth your weight in gold. Have pride in yourself.

Scenario: I fill out pre hire application online. I get a call from OTR recruiter. Question number 1. Do I have a job? Question Number 2. Do I have a job? Still no answer, just a bunch of I can't answer your question right now. Question number 3. Would you wait one minute. I think that's Uncle tone on the phone. CLICK!

Think about it... A pre hire is not a given job offer. I believe anyone can let you know on the phone what ever it is you ask them. Why pay for a bus ticket or airfare and you don't know your status as to getting the job? That makes no sense. I have never filled out a job application and never know not to be hired.

I know one wants a job and sometimes badly. But the way I look at it is this. From the start f your recruiter knows they can take you for a fool. it's over for you cause they know you'll listen to whatever they tell you. People this is your lives we're talking about. Everyone says you have to put in your time. I understand that and all. But putting your time doesn't mean to be taken for stupid. If company can't can't answer your questions on the phone and want you to sign a contract before they do. to hell with them.

I'd rather not work for them than not to be their house slave. This OTR industry doesn't suffer pity. So why should you? They need you more than you need them. Think about it. Are you going to die if you don't drive a truck for a living?

I know some people don't agree on UNIONS.. As a union member I may not always agree with my brothers thinking. But I have been grateful to them in many ways. I started out making $16.71 and our. In about 6 to 7 months I was making over $18.00 per hours. That's alot of money over a short period of time. Now as with all it's an give and take in this world. Some of you hate the UNION, I respect that. But for me If it weren't for them. I would have never been given a reasonable raise and probably be killing myself for nothing.

I live in the NYC area, now some of you might be like a new yawker... Oh man, But one reason NY is a great city is because of the UNIONS. Thses lawmakers who run our city get raises like ther's no tomorrow. The UNIONs negotiate hard and well to get us a decent wage to feed our families, cloth, pay rent, pay school, etc. Living in the NYC area it has one of the highest standards of living than the rest of the country. $50,000K per year in NYC is not alot of money but it's still decent to live on. But If I go somewhere else in the USA. I'm living like a king. I can thank UNIONS for this.

Example: NYPD starting salary is $25,500K to start. After 6 months $31,000.. Doesn't sound like a lot but the perks are wonderful. One can retire at half pay after 20 years. So on the 20 th year of my employment I can work as much OT as I can. Say $200.000K That includes salary and OT. Now I 'm eligible for retirement. I get have of that plus an extra $12,000K for being an ex NYPD. Now thats $112,000K for the rest of my life tl I die. Sounds good.. Yeah I know.

Frank Sinatra's song... New York. New York listen to it. He wasn't kidding.
