| Bushwa. Diplomatic my ***. We allow people to speak their minds here, regardless of any company enforced crapola about "inferences of impropriety" or anything of that sort, and I dare ANY company management stooges to show up here and try to intimidate people. Short of that, however, just don't post anything that could be used in any way to identify you, such as a truck or trailer number.

| I took a computer ethics class recently and learned from the instructor. Several employers are searching websites like myspace, facebook and whatever other sites exist. Applicants that are matched are getting turned down because of various reasons. Now whether its legal or not. I don't know. What I do know is you need to keep yourself anonymous as possible. What you say now could come back and bite you down the road. With technology changing everyday, laws are changing rapidly with it. Also keep in mind, Technology has created another department at most companies. Whether they call it there IT or DBA people. These folks are not there just to make sure your computer works. They have the knowledge and resources to find this information on the internet quickly. So if you have kids or grandkids you need to beaware of this, esp if they are going to college and want a decent job. I personally wish I found this site sooner when I started driving. I could have made a wiser decision on chosing a company.

| well i have to say it is sad that companies are doing what they are doing. they are not good to their drivers and then when their drivers complain they give them more hell. you would think they would try to correct the problems but they don't they just make them worse... odd in my book. but most of the big companies don't make sense to us drivers. taht is too easy sometimes. they ahve to be complicated... |

| I don't get it. So what. So what if they know you're on this site speaking the truth about them. If they were a half ### decent company they wouldn't have to worry about this sh-t would they? All they have to do is quit dicking people around, or should I say quit liking to dick people around. I have no sympathy for these pricks that are home every night and off every weekend that works for these trucking companies and enjoy being jerks. ![]() Last edited by MACK E-6; 02.15.2008 at 08.11 PM. |

| Frankly, I don't care who knows and reads what. The problem people will run into is when they post negative about their own company, and make the mistake of also posting their truck number or something somewhere. Companies' employee handbooks often have a section dealing with personal conduct outside of their work related duties, and employees may be subject to disciplinary action for their postings here. I can't prevent it from happening once, but I can prevent it from happening twice. I will personally boot out of here any management types who would come here and attempt to assert any kind of company speech or conduct policies on our members.

Maybe not.. but at least the drivers who quit should tell them why they are leaving. |
