Of course. Corrupt terminal managers and other management types want to enforce some sort of personal conduct policy outside of the company. They care more about that than any regulations.

Well, guess what? NOT GONNA HAPPEN HERE!!!

We allow our members to speak their minds, whatever their opinions of their companies may be, and I don't care who reads what, and has a problem with whatever.

I've ran off several of those types myself who thought they could come here and coerce our members.

Thanks Mack E-6 for letting us do that. I think all drivers will agree with me when I say it lets us vent out on the negative experiences one has had in the industry.

Not necessarily. I know from having booted quite a few spammers that IP addresses are not that accurate.

Even if a company were able to do something, anything with that information, the only place they could get it is from us as far as anything posted on this website is concerned, and I'm certainly not telling anybody anything.

For example, some upper management personell at Swift may send us hate mail demanding that we hand Tip over to them, which is all they could do, and my responce would be for him/her to go pound sand. No one here can see anyone else's IP address except moderators.

Well, if some driver decides to post that he works for ABC Trucking and drives truck number 1234, then that's his stupidity and I can't do anything about that.

However, if that particular driver's supervisor happens to be lurking here as a member, possibly masquerading as a driver, and then threatens to or actually does take disciplinary action against said driver for posting negative about his company, and I find out about it, I will be all over that terminal manager or whatever he may be like stink on manure, and he'll find himself booted out of here so fast he'll be dizzy.

Like I said, I can't prevent it from happening once, but I can prevent it from happening twice.

They like to keep you in fear

The companies like to keep thier employees in fear of loosing their jobs, drivers and dispatchers alike, most companies don't like to here the truth.

I heard of one company ( they will charge the driver for out of route miles and or even discharge the driver.)

one company discharged two driver managers for telling the drivers under them the truth about having to seat for up to a week for a load.

some companies spend more money on getting new drivers who are green to the industry so they can feed them b_ll _hit, instead of trying to keep the good drivers they have.
