No matter how much of that you do, You can not get away from the PC's IP address. It will rat you out everytime. Every computer has an IP number in it. It is a digital number assigned to that computer by the manufacturer. Not to long ago, you could buy ghost software and travel the net as ghost. I do not know if that kind of software is available anymore, but when it was around, it work like a charm.
Check out Webroot.com for the window washer and AVG.com for trach eraser utility software that WORKS VERY WELL. Good Luck.

    No experience

I am in the same position: I had a CLD but was working overseas and it expired. The law in Ohio made me get a car learner permit and start all over. I now have to hire a tractor and trailer to take the CDL test-after 15 years of safe driving in 45 states plus Canada. I contacted a few companies telling them that I am returning and looking for a company; but they all tell me you have no recent experience! Lets face it; learning to drive an 18 is like learning to ride a bike-once you learn you never forget. I see many laws of changed since I was gone-and especially the 10 hour break is ridiculous. Do we really need that much time off? And the no-idiling laws? It is clear that 'Mothers against Tired Drivers' is doing the industry in, along with congressmen who have no clear idea of the industry and how it operates; but most importantly, how drivers need to make money. Today it seems that the governmnet has set laws that dictate how much you can earn. I never had a problem with TOO many miles. I drove to make money-period! I can see that the old type of drivers are disappearing. By this I mean (as was stated) that companies prefer new drivers who come out of driving schools and can get them for cheap labor. Fact! In 1993 I was making 30 cents a mile with Carretta, and today I see companis offering less than that after 19 years!! The problem seems to be an excess of drivers, and drivers who cannot say no- like us who have many years experience but maybe not recent as dictated by insurance companies-hence no job or low wages. Too many people have thier fingers in the industry with too much regulation. Back in 1993, a trucker made more than a school teacher, but if you check today, you see that that is reversed, and you can make more teaching children than trucking. Something is wrong here-not taking away from other profesions, but for a job that the country cannot survive without-it is surely not respected as such. As for recruiters-I have little faith in them. I have conacted many-maybe 30, but only one replied with a personal message. The problem is we have no one to represent us, and I am not talking about the NTA or them, but a congressman who can roll-back all the crap and hours of service and idiling laws, and harrassment, and allow is to make money. When I have time, I am going to write a congressman from Alabama and express my views-just complaining here will not do much to change things. Thanks for reading.

    Too many drivers

I agree %100! I posted a long letter on here about this. There are actually too many recruits that companies can hire for low wages. I was out of driving for 8 years, and when I tried to come back, I had to start all over from a car learner permit, and then the companies (and insurance companies) have this-"NO RECENT EXPERIENCE-NON HIREABLE". This is after 15 years over-the-road. I also see that the wages are stagnant; in 1993 I was making 30 cents a mile with Carretta, and now 19 years later, some companies are paying less than that! The new drivers are unable (as I now am) to stand-up to companies and demand more money. Companies seem to prefer new drivers (nothing against them) who come out of driving school and can fill seats rather than maintaining long-term employment from drivers. There seems to be too much money made in drving schools, recruiters, and the necessity for a high turnover. Moreover, the laws have put a cap on how much a driver can earn today. By this I imply that the promulagation of the 10 hour and 7 hour rest laws are ridiculous and ill conceived. The 11 hour rule is ill thought-out. As you know, 'Mothers aginst Tired Drivers' lobbies congress to institute these laws, along with a few people who do not like trucks, but have a personal relatonship with a congressman who can push throught such laws. This ultimately sets the limit on financial income that drivers can make today. Too many regulations and too much control over drivers. Today as you are well-aware, satellite tracking, electronic laws, and soon electronic monitoring in weigh stations will curb you and it will be like a 40 hour a week job, with more waiting around than driving. Moreover, if you notice, many companies are switching to regional in order to go to the lower mileage pay. Example-over 1000 miles pays less than 300 miles. This is simply a way to cheat drivers; Glenn Moore is one such company who tells you that you don't deserve the same pay for driving long distances as when you only drive 300-do they think we are really that stupid? Needless to say-I told them what to do with thier company. Anyhow, this regional transition will most likely catch-on and the government will step-in with laws that will only limit you to operate in certain nearby states-I see this coming. Thanks for reading.

    USA Truck

Hopefully they read what is online here. From what I have read they are terrible. How do they sleep at night knowing how they treat people?

OK, first of all, you're trying to talk to someone who hasn't been on this forum for three years. The original post is five years old.

Second, you would not believe how much hearsay is mentioned in this forum.
